Allows me to turn on a lamp when I am not at home and also set a plug to turn on and off at certain times of the day. I have timers on my lamps but when I want to see something and its too dark I can just use to app to turn the lamp on to view the room. then I can just turn it off and then let the other timer do its thing at the regular times. The only small complaint is the instructions dont always explain things completely. Wanted to know if once I set up a plug and if I moved the plug to another outlet would it retain the information. Turns out yes it does but I had to do a test to see if that was true. Would have been easier if it explain that in the instructions. What I like is if I am going out of town for a vacation/business I can have lights go on in the bedroom then in the bathroom. After about 10 minutes have the bathroom light go off then five minuets later the bedroom light go off. Gives the appearance of someone at home. Good product.

So versatile! I have 3 different vehicles with block heaters, one at a different residence. (One is actually a different model for outside use.) It’s super easy to adjust on off time, or just start and set a timer to shut off for one-off use. Useable for any place with wifi; no more manual digital timers except for back up. Easy to set up Easy to program Remote operation! Different models all displayed together with Smart Life app. These only work with 2.4 GHz wifi, both networks I have them on our fortuitously set on 2.4G. 4-pack is ridiculously cheap, glad I got them.

I have now used 3 of these. I bought one a few months ago and it worked well! I had a lava lamp plugged into it and it worked well with the app for a few months. I decided I would buy a second one for my salt lamp, thats where the issues started. On the other side of the room I plugged in this other socket to a surge protector, it worked for maybe a few days, then suddenly stopped. I couldnt reconnect it, I was in the return window still so I decided to try for a replacement. The replacement didnt connect either, and I accidentally lightly nudged my lava lamp plug and it decided to stop connecting and couldnt reconnect either. Im not sure whats up with these, I wish I could go back in time and not buy a second one I guess.

So unfortunately for me, I have a spectrum modem one of the newly updated ones. This does not show 2.4 ghz when you go to set up the plug. I installed the Tuya Smart app on the google play store. Once you have signed up for an account and confirmed it, click on the orange plus sign on the top right, then press add device, also make sure your Bluetooth is turned on for this (it will prompt you to do so if you forget). You now will want to manually press either plug (Ble + Wi-Fi) or Socket Wi Fi. It will prompt you for the 2.4 ghz (if you dont have one, dont worry) just put in your internet password as usual. It will tell you the device is connected to 5ghz wifi, select carry on rather than switch wifi. Follow the prompts and this should do it! It worked for me with all 3 different devices I bought on 5ghz.

I had a problem with the set up program regarding getting it to recognize the blinking light status. ( you have to touch the text for “confirm light is blinking” this allows the next button activation and the tethering process to continue. Kudos to Darren and Diana from support. They were great at following up with me to clear this up allowing me to program my plugs

My router does not let me choose between 5 GHz or 2.5 GHz. Make sure yours does before you order this. I didn’t read the product description well or check my router in advance- trying to help others not make those mistakes. Gave 4 stars since it wasn’t their fault, but I wasn’t able to use it and properly review it.

It took me a couple of days to get the bugs worked out, but now that I’ve done that they’re working perfectly. By the way, they do allow you to program a light to turn on and off multiple times a day.

Many reviewers reported difficulty getting these to connect to the network. I had the same problem, which makes me feel a little dumb for ignoring the reviews. After an hour of playing with it, I finally got one to connect to my network and to connect to Alexa. It was a frustrating hour. The font used in the paper directions that came in the box was too small for me to easily read, even with a magnifying glass. The first page did have a note that if you cant read the instruction sheet, the instructions are available online. They gave a website, which did not contain instructions for this product. In fact, I couldnt find instructions for this model anywhere on their website. And when installing it using their app, this model isnt listed as any of the ones available for installation. If youre willing to play around with it, you can probably make it work, but if youre looking for a plug-and-play smart plug, this isnt it.

I have 2 mechanically controlled Window A/C units. With the plugs I can remotely turn them on before going out to work in my garage. I did get one that would not function. The manufacturer sent me replacements immediately with out hesitation and without going through Amazon.
