This is my second product from YoLink and its the same as the first.....works flawlessly. You do need a hub, but that is said in several areas in the Amazon descriptions. Hub reaches a looong way, so if you need to reach longer distances, their products do really well. Super easy to set up, and scheduling the plug is limitless....totally customizable. On top of that....the customer support is ridiculously good. This company responds to emails within 24 hrs....every time. Two thumbs up!

PROS: These are great plugs for standard use. They have been way more reliable staying online during power cycling the router and power failures than my TP-LINK Kasa homekit ones. I’ll use these for very critical power sensitive gear. I have the Yolink ethernet hub and think that maybe the hub is why the connection is more constant. I recently changed wifi networks and passwords these stayed online without a glitch. My Kasa Homekit plugs tho, not only went offline, I could not even remove them from my app (because I didn’t know to delete them before deleting my old network), and had to start over creating a whole new Kasa account. I also lost tons and tons of automation I was using with them and Alexa. CONS This is more for hardcore automation people but as of now, these plugs do not offer as many automation capabilities as the Kasa plugs do and the Kasa plugs are cheaper! They can do some very basic ones, but oddly, they do not allow for changes in their power state to trigger automations like scene changes in the Yolink app. Oddly Kasa plugs can do this! Go figure. You have to bring everything into Alexa though, where when Alexa sees the power state changes, she will change the Yolink scene change in her app and that scene change will sync with the Yolink app scenes. If Yolink fixed this then Alexa could be cut out of the loop and these plugs could the little savior bridges between Yolink and Homekit, which I would much prefer. When they do this, I‘ll give these 5 stars and will buy a bunch more too.

Handy way to have timed outlet functions. YoLink equipment is simple, inexpensive and convenient.

The performance is very reliable and at the top of the app is really very easy to work with and well performing.

The whole system works really well as I have continued to build on it. I have experience with multiple systems by many manufacturers, and the YoLink products are the most user friendly by far.

I am pleased with all my Yolink purchases. For these plugs I have them set up so they auto turn on and off. I also set them up with Alexa so I can turn them on or off with a verbal command. I plan to buy more.

Works really well, allows me to shut my aquariums off if the leak. Removed one start for company emailing me to review their item.

I purchased the hub and a plug, then a couple of motion sensors. Less than a month after I purchased the plug the price has increased by nearly 20%. They want $3.99 for shipping too (even though Im a prime member). Look for a cheaper option is you want to find a system to try to automate your home. The system is Ok but WAY too expensive to buy all the sensors and other accessories I plan on purchasing.

The customer service for this company has been really great, but the over all experience tells me that their quality control is rather poor, which is why I have to give them 2 stars. For the following 3) orders, I have experienced an issue with each one. Order 1) Hub - The hub I received logs on and offline frequently, it is currently being replaced by the company. The troubleshooting for the hub is relatively simple - turn it off, turn it back on again, put it on an ethernet cable and try again. If this does not resolve the issue, theyll replace it. Order 2) Door sensors - They sent water sensors instead, but did replace them and sent a shipping label to return the wrong item. Order 3) Smart Plug Mini - of the two received only one worked out of the package. Overall, I like the app and its ease of use; I do wish there were some features like setting times on the alarms for the door sensors. I think that the items do work well together, and you could really get a nice system set up for yourself... But I would beware the issues Ive described above.
