> 24 hourAfter an extensive, thorough & exhaustive search I finally found only 1 smart plug that operates via Bluetooth & doesn’t require a constant WiFi connection - the SwitchBot Smart Plug Mini 15A. Using Bluetooth provides better reliability, unlike WiFi that can drop the connection or go out at any time. The app set up wasn’t as slick as I’d like, but it didn’t take very long to set up & add schedules (15-25 min.). Hopefully this app will not follow in the footsteps of the horrible & unreliable Avi-on app required for an older model GE Bluetooth Smart Switch (Plug-In).

> 24 hourI use it mainly to monitor a PC in my house. It works instantly and has a built in power meter in the app, I will say the power meter is very lacking tho, could definitely use improvement as it only provides real time. They could add things like: Max power draw, average power draw 10% highs and lows etc, but all things considered it’s a nice little wifi outlet.

> 24 hourI bought these to allow zone climate control in tandem with thermostats for AC window units in my apartment. Despite the breakers for the window units being 15A and these outlets being listed as 15A, theyre tripping at 1000W which at 115V AC is less than 10A. If there was a way to disable overvoltage protection Id love them, but as it is I have to manually reset them 2-3 times a day when they trip.

> 24 hourThis plug works exactly as described in that you can both turn the outlet on and off via app through wifi or Bluetooth, and through wifi using your preferred smart assistant (Alexa, Google Assistant, etc). The other fearure, which I was even more interested in, is the ability to detect and record the power usage of what is plugged into it. Unfortunately, the one I received was able to turn on and off remotely, but it would not detect power usage. I contacted customer service, and after getting information from me about the situation, their techs decided the power detection component was faulty and sent me a new unit. The new one has worked perfectly for over a week now, and I have found the power usage detection very useful.

> 24 hourThe Switchbot Smart Plug Minis are a great value when you buy two. I paid less than ten dollars each. They also do more than other smart plugs I have. I love the energy monitor feature. I can control them with my Echo Dot, or my Google Hub, which is important. They integrate well into the other smart home products I bought previously.
