> 3 daySuper simple tie dye kit. Came with enough dye for the 4 shirts we did and had about 6 or 7 extra bottles left over. Make sure to only fill the bottles you are using though because you are supposed to use them about a day after you mix the dye. Only problem we had was with the green dye. It wouldn’t mix with the water and had small orange specks in it. We tried to cover the orange with blue but I would recommend trying the color out on a napkin or something first. The blue tie dye shirt was damp when I colored it and the pink and blue was not. I did not see a big difference in the dispersion of the dye though. Definitely a good value for the price if you want a lot of colors.

> 3 dayI purchased this product on sale for about $11. A lot of color options! Can’t comment too much on longevity. Unfortunately, the red bottle was punctured and made a mess when I was filling it with water. This was disappointing as red was one of the important colors we were looking forward to using and the bottles are small to begin with. The kids had fun though!

Greater than one weekMy 5 year old daughter and 7 year old son had a blast making a dress and shirts switch this tie dye set. It was super easy to use, but hardly feel like it would serve 5 people. Each color only has a single fill (no extra dye powder) and it took 4 - 5 dye bottles per article of clothing. If you want to use a single color for more than one article of clothing you should prepare by purchasing extra dye of the colors you plan on using. All articles did come out great and color is holding well after a few washes so far.

> 3 dayLoved this tie dye kit! Our family had a great time! We were just barely able to do 5 5T shirts and 6 adult sized shirts. The colors were all very pigmented and it was very easy to use. We wrapped our shirts in plastic bags and let them sit overnight before washing them out. Then washed them with in the bathtub until the water ran mostly clear, then put them in the washer! One tip, when you are filling up each bottle with water, fill it halfway first with warm water and shake it up so the powder doesn’t get stuck at the bottom. Also, right before you run out of a certain color, fill the bottle back up with water again and you’ll be able to use that color again, but it just be just a little lighter. This really helped us in extending the life of each color!

> 3 dayI didn’t have the first clue about tie dye, so I ordered this kit. I was a little apprehensive about making sure I got it right and trying not to destroy my house in the process. This kit was at a great price point and seemed to be easy. So I decided to give it a shot. I was right! I’m incredibly impressed. The kit includes powdered dye that’s in bottles; just add water and shake. It also has a plastic table covering (note: it’s very small, and you may want to plan on a bigger one of your own for your table. It didn’t quite cover my modestly sized kitchen island.), gloves (but we opted to use our own better-fitting ones), and lots of rubber bands! I learned that we needed items with mostly natural fibers (at least 50% cotton, but more cotton = better), so I ordered cotton t-shirts, cotton hair scrunchies and cotton bath towels. The kit came with great step-by-step instructions, which included directions for folding different patterns. Perfect for a newbie! We also supplied our own plastic bags for letting the items stay damp and soak in their dye. I only have a couple of minor complaints. The table cloth was so small that it almost wasn’t worth it. Definitely plan on a larger one if you’re not dyeing alone. Some of the powder dust was on the outside of the bottles, but we noticed it and avoided a mess. Also, the kit claims it’s enough for 30 projects, but I’d say that’s a bit of an overstatement. We did four shirts and 10 scrunchies. I wouldn’t consider the scrunchies a whole project. I thought the towels would be perfect to count as the remaining projects, but we ended up not having quite enough dye to finish out our towels. We probably should’ve had an entirely separate kit for three towels. All in all, my kids and I had an absolute blast creating our items. I already want to order the kit again and find more things to tie dye!

> 3 dayBest to get larger bottles for large projects. Color variety is great, but these bottles are small. This is good for kids shirt. I was dying three adult 3XL tshirts and a full size flat sheet. I ran out of colors fast.

> 3 dayI love that this kit came with so many colors! I poured out about 1/2 the mix before adding water for softer colors. I did 5 shirts and still have tons more for other projects.
