Western Digital 500GB 2.5 Playstation 3/Playstation 4 Hard Drive (PS3 Fat, PS3 Slim, PS3 Super Slim, PS4)

i had bought a ps3 from a yard sale for 10.00 bucks. Lady said it worked but just ran out of room on it. i got 8 controllers with it plus all the cables. Great deal. So it had only a 32 gb drive...i was like ew! my phone has more storage. anyway i ordered this 500 gb drive and its been running great since i got it. best investment i made for a game console. Seller was fast at shipping and it came very well packaged. will buy more for the rest of my consoles.

Worked for 3 days. Just enough time for me to download EVERYTHING off my PS3 onto the hard drive and then it corrupts and all of my files are comepletely gone. Also just enough time to not be able to get a refund.

This worked perfectly. It fit right in the existing hard drive tray, literally took less than 5 minutes to swap out. The trick as others have said is downloading the PS3 update to a USB drive and uploading it to the new hard drive.

While I am glad to have more space on my PlayStation 3, I have had a few games crash in the middle of gameplay and I have to manually update the system instead of updating via Online. When I try to update it via Online, it would get stuck at 99%.

Was able to get my about a decade old ps3 to start up again. Thanks to cloud was also lucky to have had backed up my old data. 100% satisfied.

My sons original drive was corrupted after an update during Covid. We could not get repairs from Sony and were able to purchase this drive so he could play some games. It doesnt hold too many at once and after awhile he had to delete to add but it works well. We are now upgrading to the Terabyte.

Been using Western Digital Hard Drives for many years. My 10 yr. old Grandson wanted 500GB of Space for his Play Station 3 as a Birthday Present. I did some shopping around and price comparison finally purchasing this one. One of the big sellers is that it says on the Amazon Advertisement that this drive is for PS3 Systems.
