> 3 dayI use gouache along with watercolors, and I sometimes use white gouache to cover up already painted areas I dont like. This was my first time trying Winsor & Newton gouache. This gouache is creamy and spreads easily without needing to add a lot of water. It covers dry watercolor nicely, but is not completely opaque. The attached photo shows several thickly applied coats of white gouache over a very dark blue watercolor base. This white gouache can be mixed easily with different colors of watercolor to create interesting pastel shades, making it very versatile.

Greater than one weekI use white gouache in my watercolor paintings for details. This gouache is very thick and covers very well. You can’t go wrong buying anything from Winsor Newton. Any product I’ve ever used from this line has been top quality.

> 3 dayThe gouache came separated (the pigment was completely separate from the binder) and smelled like paint thinner. It was incredibly thin even after being mixed back together. I almost wonder if this is even real gouache or if this was a fake listing.

> 3 dayAs a gouache artist I expect smooth, opaque, even color. Others have commented on the problems with this particular item and they were right. The paint is watery and separated. It needs to be transferred to a jar and mixed well. Even then the consistency isnt great. The color is also not as vibrant as it should be. This is a pretty reliable brand. Maybe it was a bad batch.

> 3 dayPerfect for stark white on watercolor paintings … opaque to cover / add “snow” or “spots/highlights”… recently used it to add white caps for waves. Arrived in perfect condition!
