> 3 dayAfter playing with the tp-link/kasa indoor smart plugs this feels rather old fashioned, you need to go into the wifi settings and connect directly to it manually, then go into the app, rather than do everything from the app. Instructions say once connected it will ask for router and password, but it never does. I was only able to setup a schedule and use it as a timed outlet with my current phone, however that leaves it sitting as an open access point anyone can connect to and change at will and isnt quite what I was expecting from the instructions or description. Googling everything refers to wionproducts.com, but that is a dead site as of Sept 28, 2018 according to godaddys This Web page is parked page which doesnt bode well for future updates. I finally figured it out reading that the app says it works with android 4 I dusted off my ancient Motorola Droid Razr M (android 4.4) and got it to connect to the router and it did what the instructions say it will! Once connected to the router my current android phone can use it now, but you need an old phone to set it up initially if you are using android, android 9 doesnt appear to work with the setup part of the app. I was going to give 2 stars, but bumpped up to 3 based on the low price. Once I got past the setup hurdles it does work but it is not in the same category as more modern smart outlets. (dated app, no google support, no ifttt support, etc.)

> 3 dayEasy to set up and connect to my Wifi network. Survived a couple rain showers with no issue. Easy to use app. Only sad thing this model does not support power usage information.

Greater than one weekSet up easily on my router using provided documentation. Easy programing with smart phone app. 1st season but, has worked perfect. Live in Michigan with a 1 of snow currently and so far have seen temps as low as 0*F and the unit is working perfectly. Now its just a mater of longevity, I expect many years of seasonal use and will update if that turns out to not be the case.

> 3 dayWe have all of our Christmas lights connected to one switch to make turning on and off easy, but this has to be turned on and off in addition to the switch, even though it is also connected. Also, the length of the cord is very short.

> 3 dayWorks great. Just wish it could control individual plugs instead of all 3 at once. And this does work with Alexa. I emailed Their customer service yesterday and they said the feature is coming soon but wouldnt give me a time frame but I just received today and works with alexa just fine so I have no idea what they are talking about.

> 3 dayThese were perfect additions to our connected home. We bought two and theyre used for Christmas lights each year. They are the furthest connected devices from our router and they still work perfectly every time. I just hope the stakes last. Its been two years since weve bought them so theyve only been put in the ground twice. Otherwise, the signal and functionality are great! The app is ok. Its great that these are Alexa enabled. We have them in a routine called Christmas Lights and everything just works.

> 3 dayPut this to work approximately one month ago and the unit continues to work well. This makes our outdoor fountain operation very convenient.

Only Me
Greater than one weekCannot get it to work. I have a dozen other smart switches and plugs. Ive been able to get all of them working, but this one just refuses to play. Of course I waited too long to try it out, so Amazons return window is closed. Thats what I get for buying something that Amazon was trying to get rid of I suppose. Even if I got it to work, you should know that the outlets are NOT individually switched.

19-12-2024Edit** spoke with support again. They apologized, stating the previous texh was confused about my issue. Then they tried to hook me saying they charge for assistance. Nice. Worked fine the first couple seasons, now wont connect and customer service is poor. Customer support number not picked up. They used a chat session to cue tech support to call. Though my app and device were not connected, they ensured me my network was not secure. They further insisted, until I asked where they are getting this information. Would not answer question, then line went dead. Really liked them at first. Now, not so much.
