> 3 daywonderful book! I really love this author. While I read a lot of books, there arent many authors who write consistently great Christian fiction, but Rachel is one of them. She shows the truth about our God; His love for us, His hate of sin, His judgment, and His coming Kingdom. She shows it all in a way that keeps you riveted, and wanting to know what will happen next. She shows sin for the evil it is without trying to pretty it up. She shows too, the difference between the worlds love and Gods love, and how very powerful it is. Great book and series!

Never without a book
> 3 dayI loved it! Started reading, put on hold and forgot to get back to it for several books. When I got back to it, I wondered why I put it on hold in the first place. This is a Christian-based fantasy novel, but it is not in your face as it focuses more on the good vs. evil than a lot of scripture quoting in this book. The characters are well developed and engaging. Once hooked, you keep reading because you have to know how things turn out. The author provided a satisfactory ending in the event you dont want to go on to the next book. I plan to purchase the next book, as I need to see how things eventually turn out. I did find myself going back to the beginning and other sections to review what happened as the story unfolds. I like that because it means I have to pay attention to fully follow the story.

> 3 dayI truly enjoyed this book. I downloaded it to my phone and found myself looking for a moment here and a moment there so I could read. The story flow was great! The characters were all depicted in such a way as to draw you into the story! I loved it!

Greater than one weekAs soon as I finish this review, I am getting the next book in the series! This is the first book I have read by Rachel Thomson, and it was an excellent read. The way she flipped back and forth from the writings of the prophet to the present time of the story was very engaging. She changed styles from poetry to dialogue to third person narrative and back again so fluidly that the story was one of the richest reading experiences I have had in a long time.

> 3 dayIf you enjoy the fantasy of Lewis, Tolkien, and Stephen Lawhead, you will enjoy the works of Rachel Starr Thomson. The Seventh World Trilogy has compelling characters, an engaging adventurous plot with surprising twists written with a strong moral compass. Im so glad to have found this author!

> 3 dayThis story was so hauntingly beautiful. I cried and laughed and thought about it when I wasnt reading. Its the sort of story that calls to you at a heart level and gives you eyes to see how the same beauty and mystery is present in our own reality. Im on my way to order the second book in the trilogy.

> 3 dayI loved all three of these books. They vaguely reminded me of Narnia because of their alternate world theme, but the plot-line was all its own. The Seventh World awaits the coming six individuals - Warrior, Singer, Seer, Healer, Listener, Voice - whose union will announce the returning of their banished King. Only the King has the power to overthrow the tyrannical powers which currently rule the Seventh World.

Greater than one weekReally enjoyed this. It was entertaining as well as moving and very well written. The characters were interesting and easy to feel attached to. I liked the wide range of characters ages and how the different generations connected. This is one of my favorite christian fantasies. Very creative author.
