Just received this today. Tried to load Debian 10, seemed to load ok but just got blinking cursor on boot. Decided to try Debian 11 (bullseye) with XFCE since Debian 11 will be released soon. Had to use the firmware version in order for wifi to work, no big deal. Booted fine and is QUITE FAST with stock ram of 4gb. Was going to order another 8gb, am not going to do that now, this thing is plenty fast. Note that I bought this as a chromebook replacement, as i am sick of googles nonsense and am slowly divesting myself of anything google. In that use case this was a HUGE win.

I thought I was buying a decent replacement for my Acer Aspire E laptop which lasted almost 5 years, but no!!!! The fan sounds like a jet engine and cannot help CPU longevity. The colors on the screen are way off and short of either buying a calibrator or external monitor cant be fixed. I only downloaded and installed two additional programs (Photoshop and Inkscape) and my hard drive is almost at capacity - Ive only had it a couple of weeks. Where the power cord plugs in is super flimsy and that will surely create problems in a short while. I turned off the S mode thing because I wanted to download apps other than whats in the Microsoft Store and it still wants me to buy from Microsoft. And to add insult to injury, lo and behold its now in System 11 which I didnt want or buy. I contacted Amazon and they want me to return this piece of crap so they could send me a replacement. Why on earth would I want a replacement of the same thing??? Nothing works the way it should. Maybe good for just surfing but NO good for working.

Not happy that I had to unscrew 10 screws to install something that should have been already installed

Stopped screen stopped working, needing to go through to acer warranty within opening it up practically has me hating this purchase

I love this laptop! I installed a 16gb 2666mhz ram stick in the free slot for a total of 20gb RAM, also cloned the 128gb boot drive to a 1tb sk hynix 2280 name drive and installed a 2.5 1tbssd in the free slot. This is MAXED out now and is wonderful.

This laptop isnt going to win any speed awards, but it gets the job done. Im not a fan of the trackpad on it...it is harder to use than more expensive laptop trackpads (MacBook, surface, etc) but it is still usable. I wasnt a fan of this coming in Windows S mode but thats easy enough to turn off.

It was working fine for a while but then it started having problems and we havent even paid it off yet

very good laptop for the price. underrated. have used for a few months and no issues. take out of Home(s) mode when get it!! have no issues. quiet, responsive keyboard, good mouse pad control and added additional bluetooth mouse that works fine also. only con, keyboard lighting. it works but wish was setting to keep or have stay on for 5, 10, 30 minutes instead of the time out setting it has. seems short.

Been using this for a minute now. All updates have been done without issues. Screen is clean and Keyes are perfect. Finger lock works every time. I don’t have any regrets with this purchase.
