Gets hot easily, but very great graphics. Overwatch is a recommended game to play on this laptop.

So when I got this computer, I turned it on and it turned itself off in about 2.7 seconds. I couldnt figure out what was wrong until I saw that the charging light wasnt on even though it was plugged into the wall.

First I will describe the game that I use to play:

Plays all triple A games on high or ultra, battery isnt the best when gaming but to be expected. Mine hasnt had any problems with the thermals that others have had.

Update 2: The video card is dead again, going to see if I can get it repaired by Acer.

Awesome machine. Fan can get loud but that frame rate is real high! Approved for gaming.

For the money this a good laptop. I like the empty compartment for a 2.5 HDD. So far my only negative opinion about is the layout of the keyboard keys. The number pad is poorly designed and steps away from the standard layout as the number zero is one key space to the left than the Standard.

i have owned this laptop for almost 2 years now and I think I can write a review now. I can simply just not recommend it in my own experience simply because of the Overheating issues I have tried everything I repasted it on multiple occasions with different thermal pastes I have undervolted it i have bought a cooling pad I have set the CPU max power to 70% I have cleaned out the fans and grills nothing has worked. i think this is a problem with just mine as i see other people on forums who say they repasted once and they dont go over 70 but under heavy loads and gaming i get lucky if it the temp goes below 90 degrees it is a constant 95 and on idle it averages at around 60 to 80 and spikes up to 98 degrees C of course. but in every other aspect it is a great laptop and it runs what every you need it to perfectly and it is prbobaly one of the best deals you can get for a laptop with a i7 and a 1060 but i am stuck with it and just have to deal with the boiling water temps and lets just see how long this thig lasts was it worth 1000$? no as i am 15 as of writng this and that monye took a long time to get i wasted a 1000 dollars on a water boiler

Absolutely agree with everything all the 5 star reviews say. This is an incredible machine, but man its not engineered to completely cool the powerful hardware its packing. The reason Im giving this a 5 star and not 4 star though is because I was able to fix the overheating problem, and man, once its fixed you are looking at an incredible value for incredible performance in a laptop. If youre not willing to under-volt the cpu (I used Hotel Heros under-volt guide) youre not going to be able to play new AAA games without severe overheating issues (93-96C). After undervolting Im running AC:Odyssey at 60fps all high settings at 82C max where before it was maxing at 96C and causing massive fps drops.

The first time I got this laptop, I found it a little bit laggy when I try to open the setting windows. I updated the driver of GPU then it became better but still noticeable laggy. So for the first few weeks, it worked well, I only use it to play the hero of the storm, it worked well. Unfortunately, when I started to play Battlefield 5, the experience became a nightmare. Inconsistent laggy keeps coming when I play this game. The frame speed dropped rapidly and made the game unable to play. Its a laptop with GTX1060 so there is no reason for it to perform such bad.
