Definitely an excellent buy, especially for the price. Only issue is battery life (requires charging every 2-3 hours of even minor use. Would definitely buy again if I had the choice.

I was excited to receive this item; unfortunately, the left side speaker was not working out of the box. After following the troubleshooting methods recommended by Acer customer service to no avail, decided to return to Amazon for a replacement. The Acer methodology of using an agent that barely speaks English (not a knock, just think if youre working in support services you should have fluency in the language youre servicing) and only offering warranty repairs is an inadequate compensation for the trouble it requires when the product is brand new.

Arrived earlier than expected, so far I’ve encountered no problems with the product, it runs well and can handle pretty much everything I do on it. One downside I did come across was that it would get warm very quickly while gaming, mainly around the left side of the keyboard, this issue seemed to have fixed itself when I put the fans on max. Overall great laptop for the price.

Which means hiccups doing your gameplay

Got extremely hot (98c) and stayed in the 90s a lot when playing the game Apex Legends for an hour and I didn’t even put the settings on high. My guess that this is due to poorly applied thermal paste. So this can vary. Otherwise amazing laptop. Doesn’t use the gtx 1060 when unplugged and dies relatively fast. Always keep a charger with you.

Alright here’s the deal. I have been an HP and Apple customer for over 14 years. Never cheated in those two ever! Now i needed a super mobile, not too expensive, good quality laptop for gaming when i am not home which happens very often! This Predator was kinda of a risky for me, never trusted Acer! Well now i can say that not just changed my mind, I actually think they did a great job! Using high end parts, charging lowest price on the market, get a good looking rig and works really well!

This laptop is great for gaming, plays WoW perfect. Battery life is poor. Heats up quite quickly, even with an additional laptop cooling pad. Overall Id give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

El motivo principal de mi laptop es para la edición de video. Se desempeña muy bien inclusive con videos de resolución 4k. Es.una maravilla que le puedas instalar un segundo n disco duro. Los únicos peros que le pongo es que no cuenta con thunderbolt y que el disco duro que viene de fábrica (tipo m2) es de 256 GB.

The laptop stopped working less than 2 weeks after the 2 year warranty expired. Definitely not worth the money. It would shut down randomly for the past year. If you plan on adding an extra HDD, get ready for it to be extremely hot when running anything from the drive.

Same as all the other negative reviews: constantly crashes under moderate gaming usage. The only workaround is to disable the discrete graphics, which completely defeats the purpose.
