Good looking laptop which works well, but easily overheats causing performance issues. Reapplication of thermal paste and a decent cooling pad are recommended.

I can basically run almost every game I want. It just is a heavy laptop but overall a good desktop replacement for the price.

Ive gone through hell with Acer trying to get them to fix this laptop. Ive sent this laptop in TWICE to get repaired and have gotten it back with the same 90 - 100 degree celcius temperature. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS LAPTOP. The cooling system is HORRENDOUS! If you want to buy a good laptop with good cooling, look elsewhere. MSI is a good company and the one I shouldve gone with in the first place.

Running off battery was tops 2.5hrs that’s including limiting CPU to 5%, turning off usb and pcie and running off of the integrated gpu and cutting off the 1060. It cannot run sc2 at a full 120fps at ultra or even high. Gotta be on low. Not worth it.

Its alright for gaming till the heat catches up to it. Frame rate depends on the game. It can go potato on the newer games and ok on the older games. Overall not really a gaming laptop. Its disappointing while gaming. Recently I opened it up to reapply heatsink paste to discover few screws were missing on the fan and tape wasnt sticking to hold the battery wires.

Computer seems fine but the battery won’t charge. After hours on the phone with Acer tech support they said I can send it to them for repair (it’s brand new!) or return it. Thankfully Amazon is taking it back.

So upset with this purchase. Bought it as a Christmas gift for my grandson and it overheats and they won’t let me exchange it for a new one. I’m out $1200. Thanks for nothing and no resolution other than “maybe someone can fix it.” It’s new and I missed the return date. I only see my grandson once a month. Very upset over this.

This is the best you can get for the price. Ive had no problem running any games. It boots up super fast because of the SSD. Im not sure how people are having overheating problems. I havent had any, even running triple a games. Just be sure to set the fans to max and turn on coolboost through the predator sense if need be. I cant speak for durability because Ive only owned it for a month and a half but this is the best you can ask for in a laptop for this asking price.
