I LOVE these paints. When they first came, they were in these plastic deviders and each one was a cute color palette. (The first pic, each row of 5 was one of the pre made color palettes. Was the same order that came in the box) the paints are in generous 12 mil tubes and has pigment info and lightfastness. Their are some single pigment colors but all the colors are made from 18 different pigments so i dont recommend too much mixing. If you want to put them in pans, they dont crack too much however i found I prefer to use them out of the tube as i like the consistency better. But I definitely recommend these because they are nice and opaque and you dont have to use a ton to get even coverage. Its oveRall a really fun set.also, this set includes all 12 metalic colors.

I bought it for my niece and this is what she painted. She really liked the colors and was quite impressed

Wow! I’m a transparent watercolor artist. Wanted to try gouache. Had a few of the expensive gouache colors but had a commission which required many other shades that what I had. So, I figured, what the heck, for this price point, I’ll give em a shot. Am I glad I did. That was 6 months ago. Ive continued to use the to supplement my expensive brand when needed and have been quite pleased. For the price of 5 tubes of the expensive brand, I got 60. Not all are fabulous, but I sure feel I got my money’s worth.

These pieces gave me the ideal opportunity to try out Arteza Gouache. There was very little mixing to get colors that were close to the original manuscript and the paints came out of the tube smooth and creamy with very little prep needed and none of the oil you sometimes get. It wasnt grainy either! I was able to set up a traveling palette and only a few crumbled and broke and those were the orange, dark purple and black, they paints rehydrated with quickly and evenly. I still prefer a different gold, silver and bronze they needed multiple layers. The paint flowed smoothly from the brush and took highlights and shading like a dream. I would highly recommend these paints to an artist just starting out as a quality, inexpensive starter set.

I love these paints! only docked a star because you cannot purchase the individual tubes if you run out of a color. if Arteza starts doing individual tubes then I would change it for 5 stars! You get a huge amount of colors and therr are often $10 off coupons especially on Amazon. I tried the Reeves gouache and the Masters Touch gouache at my local hobby stores and these Arteza paints are by far the best ones Ive tried. No streakiness and the selection of colors makes for infinite color mixing options! -Tasha Null of Null and Void Art

This is a great set for students or anyone wanting to use a large variety of hues and shades. The colors are really pretty, the paint itself is easy to use, as long as you understand Gouache. It’s also a good set if you’re tired of having to mix shades by hand. I find they all blend and perform well.

I am loving the the colors and quality of these paints more than I thought I would. This is my first set of gouache paints and I am loving painting with them. I mix in some acrylics as well and they blend together perfectly. I think gouache is great for mixed media paper and paper canvas. I loved them so much that I bought a set for my mom. She normally paints with water colors but she is loving them too.

Sorry for the bad swatches, but I really wanted to show what each color looked like. This set was worth every penny because you get colors that would take forever to achieve if you were to do mixing and I also like the color stories that were already set up for you in the box. My swatches are each color story that was premade. The gouache is very creamy, pigmented, and drys to a nice matte finish. They can be layered easily on top of one another and with the color range you can make alot of unique art pieces. Its important to note that even when watered down they still are pigmented. I highly recommend this set for beginners and those who arent a fan of mixing paint and just want colors laid out.

I had tried cheap-o gouache before - you know the ones I mean - and was always frustrated. This Arteza set was a game changer for me. It works so much better. I love the matte finish, and will be using this instead of acrylic paint in my journal from now on.

I will say I love these paints, they have a nice texture and wonderful colors. My only complaint with these are how thin the metal tubes are. I have actually had one end up with a puncture hole just from the corner of another tube when I had them in a box altogether. I put some jb weld on it to seal in the paint, but be careful with the tubes as they are very thin. I know have them sorted in a way that they dont get moved around a lot near the sharper edges. Other than the packaging these are a great buy.
