Good value great for journaling

Good paints for a good value. Not the best for learning color theory of youre a beginner since it was super easy for me to get overwhelmed. But once you get the hang of them theyre nice to paint. The paints do dry a little lighter and the tubes arent always an accurate representation of the colors but for the price I cant complain.

I’m a college student and I did get heavy body paint. However, I have these a try as well and they are perfect for practicing before I use my expensive paint :)

My daughter in law is an artist and she absolutely loves this paint. She loves the color, ease to work with, says it layers well and is velvity when dried. Very happy with it!

This was a real bargain! I’m a beginner to gouache but not to oils, watercolors or acrylic. That is why I only gave a 3 for “beginners.” I also gave only a 3 for sheerness, as I tend to apply heavily. The colors are just beautiful!!

I use gouache a lot in all my works because im a graphic designer. Ive used all types of brands from artist loft to holbein gouache and of course, nothing can compare to the winsor and newton and holbein gouache but I will say this. This gouache is so much more better than Artist loft and reeves gouache. Its so smooth and the amount of colors you get is amazing for the price. Honestly this is definitely up there with Winsor and Newton and Holbein. My favorite color is definitely bronze. One issue I do have tho is that the color on the actual tube does not match the paint on the inside so i will recommend a swatch sheet! I will buy this again and again!

Many colors in smaller tubes and affordable, make this boxed set perfect for beginners who would like to get serious about painting as a major hobby or even career choice change to their more artisic talents. Fantasic bright and good selection of colors to also compliment an existing stash of acrylic paint tubes or bottles in your collection. Smaller tubes makes storage easy and also to see your whole range of colours next to you while you paint. Happy painting creations everyone!

These pieces gave me the ideal opportunity to try out Arteza Gouache. There was very little mixing to get colors that were close to the original manuscript and the paints came out of the tube smooth and creamy with very little prep needed and none of the oil you sometimes get. It wasnt grainy either! I was able to set up a traveling palette and only a few crumbled and broke and those were the orange, dark purple and black, they paints rehydrated with quickly and evenly. I still prefer a different gold, silver and bronze they needed multiple layers. The paint flowed smoothly from the brush and took highlights and shading like a dream. I would highly recommend these paints to an artist just starting out as a quality, inexpensive starter set.

I love these paints! only docked a star because you cannot purchase the individual tubes if you run out of a color. if Arteza starts doing individual tubes then I would change it for 5 stars! You get a huge amount of colors and therr are often $10 off coupons especially on Amazon. I tried the Reeves gouache and the Masters Touch gouache at my local hobby stores and these Arteza paints are by far the best ones Ive tried.
