> 3 dayNice set of gouache. A mix of names artist colors as well as unique named colors(ex: ballerina pink). Very happy with the pigment load and variety of colors. For me there are a few more pale colors than Id like, and would have liked to see raw umber, indian red, raw sienna but again still satisfied with the colors I found. You can see from the photos which are opaque and which colors life out easily(white line above the black).

> 3 dayI love this product. I’m new to goache and this was perfect for me to learn, practice, and play around with the medium. I love that its versatility. And the matte finish gives me all happy feels. Arteza brand products in gerneral are fantastic for beginners. Price point is worth it. I’m really happy and can’t wait to make a video with a full review.

Greater than one weekI use gouache paints in conjunction with watercolors when painting. This set of gouache paints are decent for the price and comes with a really nice array of colors, including 3 different whites, 12 metallics and pearls. The pearls are absolutely beautiful and are great for highlights in watercolor or even acrylic painting. The colors are pretty rich, these go on well and blend well. The majority of the colors are rather opaque but can be thinned with water to create a semi transparent hue. These of course dry quick but can be rewetted for blending. Overall a nice set for beginners or hobbyist.

Greater than one weekIve enjoyed using Arteza Gouache paints and like the array of colors. I however have one complaint concerning this product. The tubes are small but a little bit goes a long way. I have had problems with some of the tubes where I can not get the caps off and in trying to do so have twisted the small metal tubes as they are not that rigid. I also have noticed once you use the paint clean off the neck before putting on the cap or it may be difficult to get off!

> 3 dayMy 10 YOs face lit up when she saw these. I had also included heavy duty paper and pallets. I think these are for the more serious aspiring child artist. Remember to buy paper and other items so they can hit the road running.

> 3 dayLOVE using artezas gouache paints! I’ve been using them since arteza released their gouache line and let me tell ya, its the perfect gouache from beginner to pro! The texture of the paint is the best. I switched from latex paints to arteza. Which says a lot if you’ve used latex!! This is also the best price you’ll find for such great quality! 10/10 recommend

> 3 dayI’m painting a page a day on an interleaved bible and this gouache is amazing. The creaminess and vibrancy is on par with my Holbein gouache , I really can’t tell the difference except these are significantly better value. Seriously. For this box of 60 colors you can buy mayyyybe 4 tubes of holbein. And these layer beautifully and the color lays down in solid flatness that is the glory of gouache. Can’t complain about anything. Wish I discovered these before investing a good chunk of change in brand name gouache. To see more of how I use these colors check out at kittyliangstudio on the gram!

> 3 dayIve been using these for about 6 months now and I basically like them. Because of their low price, theyre a great alternative to premium gouache brands. Im using these dry from a palette. Although they crack and crumble like most gouache, they do reactivate easily and offer good coverage. Note: If I tip the palette, the little pieces of dried paint fall out of their compartments and mix together, something thats typical of most gouache brands. (My Holbein set is an exception.) As expected, these paints dont have the pigment load of a high quality paint brand like my Holbein set. I find the Arteza gouache mostly acceptable. My issues with this set is 1. The metallic colors dont have much shimmer, and 2. the color assortment is too garish and neon for my taste. I was not happy with my initial paintings because they were so bright. However, I realized that I can get great subtle colors when I mix my own colors. Thats not what I intended when I purchased these. I bought this set intending to have a good selection of premixed colors so I wouldnt have to mix my own. The mixing takes time, but Im getting better at it. If youre someone who loves bright neon colors, youll probably love this set. I would definitely recommend these to beginning/intermediate artists who want to familiarize themselves with gouache painting without breaking the bank to do it.
