> 3 dayUSB 3.2 performance is no where near advertised speeds. I bought this to upgrade from an Asus RT-AX82U. It just wasnt fast enough for transferring videos to my DAS. I could only get around 40-60 MB/s with the GT AXE11000 I was honestly expecting more than 60-70 MB/s. The motherboard is ans Asus ROG Strix Z690 E gaming that has a 2.5gigabit NIC. The router is connected via 2.5gigabit but still cant even come close to full gigabit speeds. The external HDD that I am using is a Sandisk G Drive that when connected directly to my pc hits almost 280 MB/s. Contacted Asus and was leveled up by tech support since that step they took did nothing to help. Was supposed to get a phone call from them to help me but of course that never happened. Dong Knows Tech gave a very good review on this router and would show that he would achieve 150-140 on read write on USB connected drives. It is updated to the latest firmware and someone mentioned using Merlin firmware which I have also tried and still did not make a difference. I returned it to amazon for a replacement and the other router still sucked! Just for a lack of a better way to put it. I have time to send it back but it isnt a router that someone that spends this much money one should be so disappointed with.

> 3 dayEvery time a new generation of routers comes out, they all claim to be ultra fast, flawless, give you eternal life, etc. THIS is the first one that has LIVED UP TO ITS HYPE! I cannot say enough great things about this ASUS GT-AXE11000 router. Forget the Gaming part of the name, unless gaming is your thing. My wife and I both are on video conference calls all day. Our previous router made it possible to run dual video conferencing, but not without glitches, occasional drops in service, sound problems, etc. We have had high speed internet service for years but never had the full benefit of the speed until now. Our video is now seamless, fast, clear, etc. The router looks a little bit intimidating, but it was so easy to set up. This router was WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Greater than one weekI love the 2.5 for the internet port. I have 2 computers with 10G net cards. I am moving data between them in 10 minutes which had taken 45 before. Just great speed.

> 3 dayI’ll start with the main problem which I found to be probably the only thing wrong but large enough to return and go with a different brand. The 2.4ghz doesn’t get over 150mbs down, when it should be getting 300-600mbs down with my fiber 1000/1000. The 5.0 only gets half the speeds that it should as well. Now I changed setting called addys tech and even sent a system log in and nothing they only told me they needed more logs. So maybe it’s a defective unit, so I order my second one thinking this has to be it. New router arrives same problem. I’m short DO NOT BUY THIS ROUTER. If you plan on getinng blazing fast wireless speeds. The 2.5 port is very fast and nice but the wireless is garbage.

> 3 dayUpdate: The product description on the ASUS web site is a bit deceptive. The 2.5gb port is WAN only. For example, if you have a 5gb Internet plan, you can use the 10gb LAN/WAN port to connect to your modem, but the 2.5gb port is not useable for LAN use. LAN aggregation is possible on the 1gb ports- but that may not be optimal.

> 3 dayI had the same issue as another reviewer where I had to setup the initial internet using the 1gig WAN port. The 2.5gig WAN port does not work initially. Another issue I ran into was that the first administration login screen was in Chinese. I had to guess what fields were what and it didnt allow me to change the language until actually logging in. That said, the first thing I did once the internet was working was to update to the latest firmware. I see that other reviewers have not mentioned that, but I assume they did that (or they shouldnt be complaining).

> 3 dayThe Asus Axe11000 is a Beautiful amazing peace of Technology, The Setup of the router was very easy, I have the Axe11000 connected to my Old Asus Ax11000 router via the 2.5g lan to the 2.5g wan on the Axe11000 with no issues at all, the wireless settings are in Smart Connect mode with all Wireless bands Sharing the same Ssid ,the 6gig WiFi 6e connects to my Samsung galaxy s21 ultra at 2.4gig and higher speeds on non 6e channed is around 1.9g and steady, one thing that you should know is that The 6g WiFi 6e uses Wpa 3 security settings and the other bands dont, overall no issues with the the 6g bandwidth and WiFi 6e my laptop which has a ax200 wifi card connects perfectly fine no issues, I do have a new Intel ax210 wifi 6e card on the way and dont expect any other issues, I will update this post as time goes on, but I have to say that Asus pulled out all the stops with this model thermal Design is amazing and the attached antennas are Real Antennas not cheap plastic ones and I look forward to seeing how Asus improves the Router with new Firmware. Some people who say that they cant connect to the internet using the 2.5g port I had it connected to the router before I started the Setup and I also used the Asus Mobile app to setup the Router and not a pc connected to any lan or Wan ports, Update as of a few days of Use wifi 6e works best with Smart Connect mode off ,and my Laptop which has the new WiFi 6e card connects at over Gigabit speeds ,As Asus release more Firmware updates for this model I believe that all major bugs will be fixed by the updates,,2/21/21 Update some users are having issues with WiFi 6g bandwidth, Try removing the Router from your network settings and then check if you have The Latest Intel Wireless driver, this usually fixes the problem,Update Use the ASUS Mobile APP To SETUP the Router!! Update since Ive had some time to Test out all the features and my S21 ultra and wifi 6e laptops connect perfectly fine with excellent wifi speeds, not sure why so many people are having issues with the Router and Asus customer service is 100 percent available on Twitter and also using the Feedback option on the Asus mobile app!@

> 3 dayThis router is not for your average user. Unless you are a hard gamer or have tons of wifi devices, you probably wont need this router. If you decide to get it, you wont be disappointed. I have over 60 wifi devices connect to it. Smart switches, computers, phones, ring cameras and so on. Reliable connection and speeds. I had to do some adjustments in the administration screen to fine tune the router to your specifications. It is easy for any tech savvy person and what ever you may not know, you can Google it.
