> 3 dayI have a rather complicated and large home network and after much research I decided to buy this router. I had a few bumps along the way when I first migrated my devices over, and had a hiccup or two getting the mesh running at first. BUT, since then, smooth sailing and fantastic reliable speed. After much testing I found that I really didnt need a second AP with coverage from my main router. But I added the second because, well, why not? We have a 1300sf 2 story town house with a massive amount of nearby networks. And just the one router covers the home, back yard and garage great! But, I still added the second router so I could cover an even bigger area, and while completely unnecessary, its impressive! I had read numerous reports of bad experiences, but I found that by setting up the router, and mitigating many different bad devices, cables, and converters in my LAN, Im getting stable fast internet everywhere.

Greater than one weekIn my experience, the mobile app yield better results when connecting the mesh network for initial setup. For some reason when using a pc, it kept stalling trying to find the node. Only have two computers at home that can use the wifi 6e option, but I bought these so I can have a better connection between my pc and the other appliances that use wifi (12 in total). I dont get slow down spikes when random things being to download around the house anymore.

Greater than one weekWorked for 4 months, of course past the return window. It does have a 2 year warranty, but only for service so you are without internet for 2 weeks+ for the warranty, thats a great option for everyone. Will never buy another ASUS product.

> 3 dayThis unit was blazing fast. For a week. And then it would restart every 10 minutes. For an entire day I tried a myriad of steps. Removing devices from my network, using the base router only, turning off some of the software features, and finally a complete factory reset. And then I noticed a review on another retail site posted the day after I purchased this unit from a user reporting the EXACT same problem. Worked great....until it didnt. Unit was in a cool room so it was not a heating problem. Asus used to be my preferred vendor for standard routers but this unit is boxed up to go back and a competitors unit is in its place. My wife works from home a couple days a week and fortunately today was not one of them but I cant have unreliable equipment on my network.

> 3 dayThe installation docs were terrible. After working with an Asus tech we did a simple install and the remote routers were installed as AiMesh routers. If the install instructions used this method, I would have avoided the multiple problems I encountered.

> 3 dayMy Internet speed was way slower than the speed my ISP said I should be seeing. After much testing with the ISP, I was confident that the problem was on my end so I reluctantly decided to spend the money on a higher end router. WOW! My download speed instantly showed >3x improvement and my upload speed showed a >10x improvement. ASUS has this figured out - it was extremely easy to install.

> 3 dayFinally able to write a review after having my ET8 for 2 weeks and its working great. I too experienced node disconnects randomly. I finally changed the Smart connect from its default value of Dual-band Smart Connect to Tri-band Band Smart Connect. Now it hasnt disconnected for 3 days. Im at peace with my router now.

> 3 dayThe product was removed from its original packaging and repackaged into an Amazon box which was annoying. The units needed to be reset before they would work. The units perform very well.
