I saw this movie when it first came out in theatres. This movie never ceases to amaze me. Although the TV series was intended for youths, it did very well in the ratings amoungst adults - including myself ater it went into sydnication. I bought this DVD a few weeks ago and I still laugh at this campy movie. The DVD includes an additional track on the movie that a person can turn on that has Adam West and Burt Ward doing an audio commentary. Although I am much older now I still laugh at the silliness of this movie. Is there anything that Batman does not carry in his utility belt. And shark repellant (and other unlikely sprays) in a helicopter? Theres something you dont see every day but I strong recommend seeing this movie.

I grew up with this movie on VHS. My mother always hated it when I would pop it in for background noise. Now as an adult I can truly appreciate that camp that is the 60s Batman. Fully-loaded Barracuda repellent stocked in a helicopter? OF COURSE. If you enjoy this kind of stuff, not only to I say check out the TV series, I would also say go check out the Moore era bond films. These movies are dated in so many horrible ways, but they still seem to transcend generations. Good still fights evil, and there is still nowhere to get rid of a bomb.

When it comes to the Batman TV show, this has it all. The 4 major super-villains (Riddler, Joker, Penguin, Catwoman), lots of gadgets, the quirky humor of the script, and the square-jawed, dead arrow straight delivery from Adam West. Somedays, you just cant get rid of a bomb. (BluRay transfer and extras are nice as well.

I had the pleasure of watching this movie -- and the accompanying TV series -- in two different, but equally enjoyable, phases: First, as a 4th grader when they were first released in the 60s -- when I took them at face value as super hero adventure stories; and later, as an adult, reveling in the campy humor and the droll, dead-pan delivery of Adam West. This is a very corny movie -- but in a good way! Lots of fun. I especially enjoyed watching it while listening to the commentary by West and Burt Ward. And by the way, though Im not a kid any more, I still want that Batmobile in my garage, and want to take the Bat Boat out for a high-speed run!

Classic American production, what a great view. I would advise anyone to show the new generation this masterpiece. It reminds me of watermelon Sundays and hot summer nights when my heart was young and gay. Adam West the majestic somber faced master, with his devoted Burt Ward rallying as the perfect foil parrying and cavorting through the majestic sets of a magnificent bygone era. This movie represented the zenith of entertainment on this planet. The only series to go near it, was the Star Trek original with Captain Kirk, and the crew of the good ship enterprise, reward yourself and buy this, then purchase the box set of the complete series. I have not opened my set yet, I am still savoring the bouquet of the the haunting memories that linger within my soul.

I grew up on Adam wests Batman and still love him best❣️This movie is amazing and cheesier than a bowl of Mac n cheese! I personally love the camp factor of the 60s Batman and feel privileged to have met Adam west at a book signing. If you dont have time for the series, this movie will give you a hefty helping of it.

This movie, starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, kept up with the 1960s campy version of the series it spun off from, and was just plain fun to watch. I purchased this movie for the purpose of reviewing it for Classic Cinema Online, as Im comparing live action Batman from the 1940s to the present, and am enjoying their many differences. This movie, as cheesy as it is, fits right in - no disappointments here! Of all the Batmans, this one makes for the best family entertainment, being suitable for children of all ages, and I highly recommend it because of how fun it is to watch. I ordered this new and it arrived on the day anticipated in excellent condition.

This is THE ORIGINAL. Intellectual humor, over the top comedy, total silliness and campy story lines. No dark demonic Batman here, just the real thing. After watching it, I remembered why I loved Batman so much as a kid! It was one of the most wordy shows out there and intelligence was required to get most of the jokes, it actually got me looking words up as a child! Nothing like the original series, sad how it has gotten debauched with dark violent themes. Nothing quite like the REAL THING.

Yes, its silly but youre probably not going to watch it unless you are a fan of the TV series as well. I bought this on DVD several years ago as a fix until the series became available. Its still too expensive for me to buy the whole show on either blu ray or DVD but the movie has all the same characters and bat-gadgets crammed into one goofy package. The quality of the streaming was really good and we dont have the best quality wifi signal in our house. Recommended as a diversion to chores or on a rainy day.

I have now seen this movie maybe fifty times and still counting. My four-year-old son is ADDICTED to Batman, the Batcopter, the Batcycle, the Penguins sub, etc. With the bigger-than-TV movie budget that allowed for these toys plus the presence of four bat villains, this is a must for fans of the BATMAN TV series. Adults will also appreciate -- perhaps after repeated viewings -- director Les Martinsons adept staging in long, well-timed comic takes among the villains. The bad guys are expert actors all, with relative novice Lee Meriweather (subbing for Julie Newmar, who was shooting McKENNAS GOLD during the hiatus) acquitting herself admirably as a comedic villain. And does she look an ABSOLUTE KNOCKOUT as both Catwoman and as Russian Cold War hottie, Miss Kitka. Adam West certainly owns this incarnation of Batman, and wait til you hear how Burt Ward got the part of Robin! Kudos also to Nelson Riddles jazz score, which I finally felt compelled to seek out (and found!) as a CD. Of course, we listen to this in the car all the time, and I have yet to get bored with the paradoxical variety of tonal colors despite the narrow instrumentation for jazz band. The script by Lorenzo Semple Jr. who wrote all? most? much? of the first season is slyly funny and supports both goofiness and a coherent narrative. Basically, its fun, nostalgic, and a great take on -- and execution of -- the material. The commentaries from Adam West and Burt Ward are a little spare on info, but still welcome, as is the extra feature about the Batmobile. In all, a near PURRRR-fect DVD, and a cheap guilty pleasure at a relatively low price.
