Been wanting a 32 display for a while but couldnt part with $$$$. This EW3270U was very affordable and I was getting everything but an IPS panel. But the VA panel works fine for me. I connected my MacBook Air M1 with the included USB C cable and it auto detected and was good to go. Later found adjustments for volume, bright, contrast etc. Eveb one setting for a video mode called MacBook and it looks even better. Very plastic frame, but sturdy VESA mount, audio has good volume but so-so quality. Im not a gamer so i dont know if this VA panel at 60hz would be good enough. There were settings for HDR and other auto adjusting settings but i havent tried them out. Im very happy with this affordable 32 4k display that works out of the box with my Macs with USB C!

Purchased this to go along with my 2015 iMac. Few things to understand, buy a displayport to thunderbolt2 cable. Only truly supported option for full resolution on this generation of Mac. The size of the iMac desktop is always set to 1440p. They say 5k but it is impossible to view such a small resolution. This is why this monitor is a perfect second monitor for a mac desktop. A 4k screen is not necessary. Other than higher dpi or better backlight options 1440 or 2k is the best option for a 27inch monitor. Emulated Hdr is ok but not necessary as the monitor doesnt have the peak nits to achieve true Hdr. People complain about the stand or lack of ergonomics i bought the amazon basics monitor arm. Perfect adjustment for an affordable price. I think it brought the total to around $350 for everything. Plan on getting another one for a full 3 monitor setup. Being used for daytrading setup, so perfect resolution. If youre doing any fancy video editing i would purchase the next level up of Benq monitor. This however is perfect for Clerical and regular display use. I use the iMac speakers because you dont need both. They arent great but if you had nothing else these are fine, maybe buy a small desktop speaker if the Benq is by itself and you want an upgrade. Not for gaming or editing but perfect for work from home or school option. I included a few pics from first setup to compare the quality vs the Imac screen.

I have 3 of these monitors at home now--when I was looking for a good 4k 32 monitor, I went back & forth about what I wanted to get. In the end, I decided to get these. I have had no issues with them & they are very easy on my eyes for many long hours. Highly recommend for WFH. I had the same set when I was in the office as well, no issues there either.

The monitor was easy to set up and delivers a great image. Unfortunately after about 30 days of use it developed a vertical line with missing green pixels. I reported this to BenQ support along with a photo of showing the defect. They immediately offered to replace the monitor and pay shipping both ways. The new monitor arrived quickly and has been working great.

This is what Id call just an okay VA panel. It looks pretty good on axis at a distance but the viewing angle is not good enough at regular seated desk distances. Even straight on, youll see some color shift in the corners of the display. I find this very distracting in any darker content, games, photo editing, dark themed text editors, etc. Its far from the worst VA panel in this regard but I have also seen better. In testing this, I found the color depth reported in the EDID table is 8-bit, which is rather disappointing for a 10-bit panel. Its not clear if this is actually a 10-bit VA panel or 8-bit with FRC, but if your input device only connects with 8-bit you cant take advantage of either. When I did override the EDID, I was able to get a 10-bit input displayed but I imagine most users of this monitor are simply using it in 8-bit mode. The stand is bad but also easy to replace. The monitor itself is pretty well built so just plan to replace the stand if you need any flexibility and things should work fine. If you are mostly using this at TV distances, Id recommend it for use in darker rooms due to the low peak brightness. Its got very good color range and contrast if you are far enough away to stay in the viewing angle sweet spot. 10-bit color isnt needed for most uses. HDR is pretty useless here but it does technically work if you override the EDID color depth and dont expect accurate brightness representation (no LCD can do this without full array local dimming and this monitor is uniformly backlit).

Given the price, this monitor is great. It wouldnt be ideal for gaming, but is serviceable as a 2nd monitor, working seamlessly with my laptop. Runs cool and quiet. When I ran into an issue connecting, customer service was great, responsive, and proactively followed up to make sure everything was working well.

hard to find a great monitor with built in speakers, but this BenQ EW2780Q fits the bill perfectly. I bought Amazon used-very good, and it is basically like new, since the only minor scuff was on the back cover. I mainly use for web surfing and home office, so I wasnt looking for theater level sound. Picture quality is great for my needs. Its a well built monitor.

the experience buying this monitor was really bad, I bought it and the carrier lost the monitor and they delivered me something totally different, the second time they sent it it arrived relatively fast but the audio was not working, one HDMI port works weird, however the image quality is very good.

Sitting 8 hours a day reading resumes takes a toll. Having this large Monitor definitely helps reduce stress in the eyes
