This review is for the 27 inch 1080p HDR model. Overall I like this monitor. However, there is bleeding/clouding in the bottom left corner that is distracting on dark screens. I use this with my Roku and as long as I am watching a show/movie that isnt too dark then I dont notice this defect. At this price range I am not too disappointed. A USB port would have been a nice addition.

I had been wanting a 4k monitor for some time, but hesitated due to needing a new computer with a good graphics card to support it, and the problem of having all photos shrink to 1/4 their size on the screen. This turned out to be the most significant upgrade in my 18 years of dealing with computers. I set the photo viewer to open to actual size, so photos that used to be limited to the screen size now are finally able to open at full resolution. But the best thing about this is the screen real estate. Previously I had to shingle multiple windows to fit them all on the screen - now they are spread out so it isnt necessary to click on one corner to move them to the foreground. I did my homework - this is probably the best 4K monitor available for the money. Look at the reviews - and heres one more.

Great monitor eith great clarity for a VA panel. I underestimated it for sure. I was looking for an improvement from my 32inch 1080p VA panel and I got more than I was expecting out of this monitor. The colors are deep but I will have to say that the HDR can be a bit dull. Most experiences were better off without because it doesnt get bright enough to notice. The emulated HDR feature provided better color depth than actual HDR. Minor light bleed but only noticeable on a blank, dark screen. Works great with console as well. Xbox One X looks great. Id imagine that it looks equally as great with the Series X as well.

This monitor is *chefs kiss*. I Bought the EW2480. I am amazed and absolutely in love. The size, the clarity, the picture quality - everything is just the icing on the cake. Speakers are great! As for the HDR I cant decide between it being a gimmick or HDR..it improves picture quality yes but it just seems like a preset of picture settings? Casual non competitive gaming is great on this so dont fret or be scared away. This monitor is a very quality build for $180 (thats with tax) and to think I almost went with an Asus monitor thats 10 years old...for the same price..and not even a quality build. I also almost went with the GW2480 to save money but soooo glad I didnt. This monitor is a dream.

I love everything about this monitor except what I bought it for. HDR will not work. Cannot stream 4K or HDR from Vudu. Cannot stream 4k HDR from Netflix or Amazon Prime. Ive tried 3 different Displayport 1.4 cables to rule them out. I have a GTX 1080 which i know has dispalyport 1.4. BenQs website and several reviews say the monitor is comes with Displayport 1.4 connection, but other reviews say its only Displayport 1.2, which cant handle the data needed for HDR. I can turn HDR on in Windows 10, but the selection to stream in HDR is grayed out and cannot be turned on. I dont know if its a Windows problem or BenQ is lying about its Displayport capability or its HDR capabilities. Other than that....its a nice monitor. Update 2-10-19: Turns out there was a Windows 10 update that completely screwed up HDR streaming. Its become an issue for a lot of people. And Vudu doesnt support HDR or 4K to desktops. Games that are HDR capable WILL display proper 4K HDR.

Overall it is a great and reasonable price monitor. But it doesnt come with any video cable. Not sure if they change the bundle package for now. Saw lots of reviews saying they should have them.

Aside from daily uses, this monitor is excellent for streaming movies and shows. The speakers are very good and the headphone jack is a very nice feature. Adjustments to the picture and sound are easy to access and to understand. An excellent monitor and an excellent value.

I chose this monitor because of enclosed speakers and the position of the stand mount which was important because I wanted to attach a mini-PC to the VESA mount holes. Some monitors use the VESA holes for the stand. The display is very nice and sharp but the audio is a bit of a disappointment. I should have realized that small, rear facing speakers wouldnt be much for sound. I already had a nice, full sounding Bluetooth speaker that I now use for fuller sound when I play music or watch a video. I use this as a PC monitor and dont use the extra HDMI inputs at all. The built-in audio was a selling point but a disappointment. A cheap Bluetooth box sounds much better.

This monitor is everything I hoped it would be - easy to use and sharp enough to read the tiny print. I am using this as an external monitor on a Dell G5 laptop with the Nvidia 1060 chipset. The display is super sharp; I regularly use large Excel spreadsheets and I can operate as low as 70% scale and still read the cells(Calibri 11pt). I do wear a pair of computer glasses tuned to 1 beyond my fingertips, with all the blue blocking, etc.... The only thing I have a complaint about is that with the HDR turned on (Windows 10 recognizes its an HDR display), if the system goes to sleep, then when I wake it up, the brightness is muted. I havent found any setting to fix the issue, but power cycling the monitor fixes the issue, so I assume its the monitor. Also, I have one one application that was nearly impossible to use with the HDR enabled...all of the colors/brightness were, seemingly, turned down to the point that you could barely differentiate the text from the background. only selecting one of the high contrast color schemes made the app barely usable. Disabling the monitors HDR fixed the issue. Honestly, I dont see much difference between HDR enabled and disabled.
