    Greater than one week

This product is impossible to set up. I tried several times over the course of a couple of weeks and had no success. I have other smart plugs I was able to connect in a matter of seconds. The instructions are so convoluted and inconsistent for example when it says to connect to the BroadLink Wi-Fi item it doesn’t show up. Completely Useless product which I have returned

I have purchased many of these plugs over the years. The application was never very user friendly but I figured it out. I do not use Alexa or Google home and don’t want to. I recently had to go to the new application which is more organized. No I tried adding a new plug to my house however and it has been nothing but a pain in the neck. It will not connect to my network no matter what I do. I have received the email saying it is connected but not showing up. This has me very frustrated. Although I like the concept and having my lights on a timer Islas that is what I want these timers have timed out. Seems as if you don’t use google home or Alexa they don’t work. I’ll have to find another option or just go back to my old style dial timer. Anything is infinitely better that trying to add these to my application and network since I don’t seem to be able to making them useless Update: Daylight savings time really screws things up. I have at least 18 of these. I will be replacing them all with a different brand. These have frustrated me to no end

These worked ok for a while. I switched internet service providers from century link to xfinity. I got the new xfi router. These unfortunately don’t work with the xFi router because it combines all the band - 2.4GHz 5GHz etc. now they are useless.

I bought the 5 pack to add some lights to my Google home set up. At first they were working great with my Google home app and voice commands. I would use them in routines and had nothing to complain about. Then a month in they would disconnect from my Google home. They would work with their app just fine but could no longer with voice commands or anything within google until I deleted them and went through the entire set up process again. I know have to do this every 2 weeks with a different plug until I can buy some replacements. Dont waste your time and money like I have.

It was a little complicated to set up but once I did it works fine. You must load the BroadLink app to schedule the plug. It works great with an echo dot.

Pain in the butt to set up while even following the directions to a T. After 3 attempts it finally works and work well.

Ill admit to not trying many brands of outlets since the ones I did try tended to want an app and bluetooth to interact with Alexa. This one though, once on the network and the skill loaded into the Alexa app, works exactly the like the Amazon plug (for speed of response) for 1/4 the cost. Definitely will be buying again should I have a need for another smartplug.

I really like this BroadLink Smart Plug and would definitely recommend it. The device is small and well designed. The setup was very easy and it works as expected. One feature I really like is the button on the device to power it on and off manually. This really comes in handy if your phone is not nearby.

Start home seems really fragmented between different apps
