> 3 dayI really like the brother label printers. We use these in a manufacturing setting to print labels for packaging and shipping of product and it is quite easy to setup and get working. They are inexpensive (for both the hardware and labels) and just work. When they dont work any more (which has never happened to me in 6+ years) they are so inexpensive that I would consider them disposable. Ive purchased quite a few QL-700 and QL-560. Their SDK is pretty easy to use if you want to write your own windows applications (or other platforms too) and get your programs to print out labels for you. Using their P-Touch editor software, it is easy to make templates that include graphics, barcodes (of many varieties including 1D, and 2D), different fonts, lines, etc... These are quite easy and friendly to use. Ive used Zebra printers, Datamatrix printers, and others but I keep coming back to these guys. They are quite inexpensive and just seem to work well.

Greater than one weekThe Brother QL-700 is a nice, somewhat hefty, thermal printer that produces clean, legible mailing labels. It prints at up to 93 labels per minute at up to 300x600 resolution, and has a nice, clean cutter for continuous roll paper. It is easy to load. I like the fact that I dont have to mess with ink cartridges or toner. Although I use it for mailing labels, it will also print labels for file folders, as well as others uses that you may come up with. It will print ID badges for events and the like,, but be forewarned that pictures (like a face) have no gray tones. The included software works with PC and Mac, though the MAC software is a bit tricky to install properly. An additional note: I bought this on Amazon on September 6, and it has still not arrived. I am told it is bound to do so on or before October 22. I couldnt wait any longer. Faced with addressing envelopes by hand, I went down to BestBuy and bought one. Not sure what Ill do with the one I bought on Amazon, Though. Maybe sell it on ebay?

> 3 dayFor my small law firm, there always seems to be a reason why labels need to be made. I used to have them professionally printed but this device removes that expense and gives me the flexibility of creating specific labels for specific needs. I highly recommend it. Easy to use; easy to change sizes; and prints extremely fast.

> 3 dayI was so excited to receive this after reading the great reviews on this label maker. My needs for this are rather simple...too simple and yet the software that comes with this product is a nightmare. It is so confusing just to do something so easy! I spent almost 8 hours going through every command, option, setting, etc. How easy do you say? For my job, all I need to print a name with a date on the bottom as large as it can be on a 1-1/7 x 3-1/2 label. I would like to have the name cleared out after each time I print a label, but leave the date on the bottom so I can easily copy and paste another name, keep the date and print, etc. Sounds easy right? NO! There is NO way to do this unless you highlight the previous name, then paste it in so it will delete it. That becomes quite a pain when in the fast-paced environment I need this for. All I need is to constantly paste in a name within a label that keeps the date on the bottom and print, then have it cleared to paste in the next name while keeping that date on the bottom. Ive tried templates. Nope. Ive tried going into the address book, which looked promising at first, but whoever programmed this has to be retarded. You can change the font, bold, italic, etc, but you can change the size of the font!! HA!! How stupid is that? So I can paste in the name, but now I can increase the font to fill in the label and you cant create a template in here that would fit the need of such simply simplicity! Tried to call customer service or chat, but not available and too long to wait. Its a shame but this whole unit is going back. Its a shame since its a nice looking unit and the labels do look nice when they print. But the software is so confusing and stressful to use when you need for it to be flexible in a very simple way.

> 3 dayI think this label printer works wonderfully. The software for windows (computer) is easy to use. If you have a mac, youll have to download the program from brother. The interface is solid, and the software can auto detect the size of the labels you are using. The printer itself works fantastically. Auto cuts, and the print is very legible and eye pleasing. Overall I would recommend this label printer to anyone who prints a lot of labels.
