Brother QL-700 High-Speed, Professional Label Printer

> 3 dayAs I said in my review of the individual printer rolls, this product is better suited for small office use than easy home use. I had one of those labelmakers from years ago that served well for home use. It was easy to use, had limited options, and was fast. This product as with most computer upgrades has too many features and is not truly easy to use. It takes about twice as long to print a simple label as it did on my old labelmaker. Not what Id call an improvement. Brother should consider making a much simpler home model.

> 3 dayWhen some friends recommended this printer I had to check it out and Im so glad I did! You dont have to buy ink for it! Yes, it only prints black but you dont have to buy ink for it! It prints and cuts labels for you fast and easy, I labeled all my products for my craft show with this printer, the ink is waterproof but the labels are a different matter, my paper labels got damp from being outside at the craft show and the paper crinkled up a bit but the labels that were film were great! So if you want a water proof label get this printer and some film labels, its an awesome buy you wont regret!

Greater than one weekWas using an aging simple electric typewriter (about 15 years old) for mailing labels until a cable inside busted. There were only a couple of replacements to be seen at the office supply stores, all requiring ordering (nothing in stock.) Since doing labels is my ONLY need for this, I decided for the same price (actually, 20% less on Amazon) I decided to replace the trashed typewriter with this device. I am pleased, and its other functions (customizing and designing labels, keeping an address book and a few other functions I dont use) really bring it beyond the typewriters capacity. I assume typewriters are within days (OK maybe a couple of years) of being a relic and wont be reparable in a financially wise way. This device has a good warranty, and will function just fine for my needs. Plus, it takes up less than a quarter of the space of a typewriter. Four stars instead of five because NOTHING is perfect. I would recommend it to anyone whose needs are similar to mine.

> 3 dayThis is one of the most difficult things Ive ever tackled. First, it does not work with Windows 10. I spent a tremendous amount of time getting it to, but all ended in frustration. Finally got it hooked up to an Apple computer, but not without extreme hassle. Had to look up how to download of software that the thing works from. More frustration. It is working now on the Apple computer, but there were times when I felt like throwing it in the garbage. Guess it now has newer editions that work better. I will let someone else figure those out.

> 3 dayOpened the box. Installed software. Put in the labels. Plug in the cord and the light came on. I think it works. I hope to actually use it very soon.
