> 3 dayOverall: the Hardware is solid - the Software is well done & very capable, with a few minor start-up glitches ----- Bit of an adventure to install w Mac-OS X. The Printer-Driver would not install from the software-CD in the box. Eventually downloaded from their website. Good compatibility with various Versions of Mac-OS X - weve run it with 10.12.6 thru 10.4.11 - same great flawless performance. After installation we have not seen any bugs. Printer connected via USB ----- At this time the Editor Lite software is not Mac compatible. Mac-Users have to use the full P-Touch Editor software - may be overkill for simple address labels, but gives you complete freedom with label appearance. Almost any address will fit on regular small labels. Even long complicated five-line addresses - just use smaller font-size & line-spacing. Can also save your labels for next time ----- Prints a nice address label. Automatically cuts each new label from the roll. They stick to an envelope with no problem. We are using the

> 3 dayUPDATE: Since using this machine to print barcoded shipping labels via Etsy and Paypal, Ive had many problems with USPS reading the barcode (even though they scanned fine at home with the USPS barcode app). So one day we stood on line at the post office to have them scan packages in front of us. NONE OF THEM SCANNED! The clerk then graciously tried them on the machine in the back to check again. Still, no success. Since purchasing this in June, many of my customers were wondering why it seemed like I made a label and never mailed their orders because post offices along the way couldnt scan them. Nail biting on both ends ensued. (Of course, manual input of the tracking number would be the solution and due to volume and time, most post offices didnt bother but I unfairly blamed them for being too lazy to scan at all.) These labels are simply too small to be properly read on post office scanners. I nearly stopped my business over the problem because it was too nerve-wracking wondering if my items would get to their proper destination. The product is fine as a label maker in and of itself and I will still use it. (I even figured out the uneven font thing by adjusting the setting in the QL-700 software.) Ive since moved on to the Brother QL-1050 (it prints 4x6 labels that seem huge compare to the QL-700). ORIGINAL REVIEW: Ill try this again. I wanted to use a photo of the specifics but since Amazon thinks it contained personal info (e.g. including personal addresses, etc) they wouldnt let me share it. (It was a copy of an address label to which I had changed anything identifiable but they didnt pick up on that.) Well, here is the review anyway: My review for the QL-700 should be five stars for so many reasons but Im all about the visual and the actual printing of names, etc. on my labels is not as nice as it would be on almost any other printer. HOWEVER, other than that, it is a lifesaver. I use these for printing labels for my small business: Bar codes are pristine (I use an app to scan them before bringing to the post office so I know there wont be any problem), the print is visible and essentially clear, just not as even as I might like. It also took some doing to get the label size to print across all the platforms I use (Paypal, Etsy, Word, PDF Pro). Needed adjustment so that I didnt waste label stock. All this being said, I highly recommend this item, even if youre a perfectionist all about the visual. I wish everything was as efficient as this item. My life would be infinitely easier.

> 3 dayFor the amount we have used this printer we are quite happy with it. I am still amazed at how fast it will print. Even though there is a dedicated program stored in the printer itself (the printer is seen as a flash drive in the windows explorer window.) The more robust program that is on the CD is much more capable program for doing most label jobs. I wish the included address database was able to use access the windows an outlook address databases at least the ability to copy the addresses so the end user does not have to retype all the addresses. But for basic labeling that can be over looked.
