Sono un consolidato cliente di Micron/Crucial da qualche anno e fino ad oggi con piena soddisfazione. Per questo motivo ho deciso qualche settimana fa di sostituire un vecchio HD da 2TB con un SSD di pari capacità, ma - ovvio - dalle prestazioni estremamente più brillanti e dal consumo elettrico molto più basso. Mi ha perciò sorpreso trovarmi di fronte ad un prodotto con un firmware non ben collaudato che mi ha impedito di usare lo SSD in sicurezza (appariva e spariva dalla visibilità nel sistema operativo, a fasi alterne), come invece è stato ed è tuttora il caso con altro SSD da 1TB dello stesso produttore, ove risiede ormai da 3 anni il mio WIN 10 Home, senza avermi dato finora il minimo problema. Considero laccaduto un piccolo incidente di percorso che non incrina il mio buon rapporto con Micron, produttore verso il quale mantengo la mia fiducia. In questo caso sono stato però costretto ad avviare la procedura di reso con Amazon, procedura che mi è stata proposta anche dal supporto di Micron.

This was very easy to install following the directions from Crucials website. Took a few hours for a 500 Mg drive. Boots up much faster and navigates much faster through programs and also when online.

My wife has a 10 year old Asus ROG laptop thats still kicking. I actually bought her a newer MSI and it died after 2 years, couldnt be cost effectively repaired, so shes back to the Asus for a bit.

I have replaced my old laptops HDD with a Crucial 2TB MX500 SSD, I can say that the SSD is itself seems like a very good product by Crucial and after installing this my computer really becomes 10X faster and better! I think if you are simply replacing your HDD with a Crucial SSD this is indeed a very good choice, BUT if your issue is a little complex, e.g. cloning your existing source drive to Smaller or larger target SSD and you need some technical support from Crucial and your time and data on your existing HDD is important to you then it would be a HORRIBLE mistake to go with Crucial, as the Crucial Tech Support is full of painfully awful non-professional rude and completely non-cooperative people, so when I needed some help from the Crucial support I found that that their 100% US sales and support staff is outsourced to India, all chat and phones are being routed to India and these Crucial people are not there to help you or support Crucial, and there is ZERO possibility to connect to any Crucial person in the USA, so US customers have no choice at all, in any case you cannot even make even a complaint to US company in USA, Crucial is offering 5 years warranty to MX500 2TB BUT please do not even consider this a warranty for a single day because if happen to need and support from Crucial their 100% Indian support staff will try very hard to make your experience with Crucial as bad as possible, my advice with you if you have bought your Crucial SSD from Amazon and if there is even a small issue dont wait simply return your SSD to Amazon within 30 days as Amazon support is good enough to handle this, after 30 days forget about Crucial so-called support. If Crucial Micron Technology Inc., is listening: Please provide at least ONE USA Support number, based in the USA so that in case your Indian staff is not able to handle a situation your US customers can at least contact back to the company within the USA.

This is a great SSD. Its fast, reliable and cost effective from a reputable brand. I currently own six of these drives in various sizes with zero problems.

Replaced the boot drive in an older HP PC that was small and slow. Sped up the PC significantly.
