Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1

The SSD was very easy to install and has been totally reliable with no issues at all over the first few months of use. It does not come with transfer software but there is plenty of good options online, one of which I used and it went without a hitch. It feels nicely made and I am very happy with Crucial.

If you game at all and dont have an SSD, you really, really need one. This one is large enough that you can put quite a few games on it, and the prices have gotten to the point where there are fewer arguments for not having an SSD in your system.

I put this in my Dell G3-3579 and it is a world of difference. I have a dual boot system with Windows and Ubuntu, Ubuntu for which I compile an Android ROM (Lineage OS to be specific). It used to take around 8+ hours with the stock 5200 RPM hard drive, but now it only needs about 1-2 hours initially (with syncing and updates being around 30-60 minutes tops). The boot time in Ubuntu also went from around 30-60 seconds to only 5-10 seconds. In Windows, all of the games (like Elder Scrolls Online and Titan Quest) along with Steam start up much more quickly (not including any time to login on the first). The difference is incredible.

This is a repeat buy.

Works well in my Dell Inspiron 5555. Formatted it externally and cloned it overnight, then installed in less than 10 minutes the next morning. Boot time is incredibly faster. Much less wait on disk and less power consumed. Nice to have the old drive as a backup.

I needed to expand storage on my laptop computer for my games. My current favorite game, Lost Ark, which is a 75 gigabyte download for just one game. I have many games stored on this SSD. I’m getting 560 gb/s read and write from this drive measured with Crystal Disk Mark. Awesome drive!

This is the fourth Crucial SSD drive I have purchased and all of them work beautifully. No issues to date.

Good speed for older computers too.
