> 3 dayUnusually tedious install process for a hard drive install by comparison to two other ssd installs. Could be a desktop vs laptop thing.

> 3 daySystem image backup usage for an Intel I9. I hardly notice its there until I need it. I have had several Crucial Products dating back. (Am I showing my age? I have some very old systems I gave away and they are still in use. SSDs run well on filtered backup power. I do not like to store anything on clouds or mechanical drives. I think tye are fine for gaming. At age 70, I am the slowest part of the game.

> 3 dayMy daughters Dell G3 notebook was getting really slow, especially after upgrading to Windows 11. It got to the point that she didn’t even want to use it anymore because the hard drive would just grind away for an hour or so after boot up. Decided it was time to replace the drive with an SSD.

> 3 dayGreat performing SSD for the price. My only complaint is that it gets hotter than most SSDs under load, most of the drives in my system other than my nvme stay well under 30c, but for some reason this drive manages to get over 55c from time to time. Not a deal breaker, but hopefully someone will find this information helpful.

> 3 dayI replaced an eight year old 2 TB HDD with this 1TB SSD. I cloned my old HDD to this new SSD. I had about 550GB of info on the old 2TB HDD. After cloning and install, I put the old HDD in a drawer, just incase I had any problems. My plan was to wait 6 months and if I had no problems then I would install the HDD, re-format it, and set it up as my major storage device. Move all my Documents, Pictures, Videos, Downloads to the 2TB HDD and make it the default storage for any new files of those type.

> 3 dayThis was not easy, and the instruction is useless, because the actual installation is not the problem as it was POC, the problem is afterwards. It took me a few hours to roboot my MB pro 2011 early 13”. I follow the instruction on iFixit.com, but trying to make a bootable flash drive is pain in the ass! The program code they provided is not current with a new installer, if you follow that it will error it out. I suggest/must you to watch the comments in the instruction article on iFixit.com. It will help you with the most updated information. Anyway I wasted all the time to create the Portable flash drive but I really didn’t use it. If you use the command option and P option to start your computer with the new hard drive, it will take you to the recovery menu. You have to reformat your hard drive just erase everything and use the firstaid, then you can reinstall your Mac OS system from the drop-down menu. And bam! It’s so fast, I can’t believe it’s almost 10 years old! Btw, I also bought the Corsair 16GB, it’s a MUST HAVE, if you want your computer to be super fast.
