> 24 hourThe case feels sturdy and it can withstand a fall (I have dropped it once, onto concrete, and everything inside was fine). I havent had any trouble with the straps. They hold the Vita in nicely, and its easy to pull them up and over the sticks to slide them off and pull the Vita out. I havent considered cutting them off because they seem to work as intended and they dont cause me any problems at all. Though it only has slots for five games, the panel that holds the games doesnt tend to fall open when the case is opened and it has some extra pouch space in the flap. Ive been able to tuck five more games in there without worrying about them falling out or moving around much. My case didnt have a weird or strong smell, as others have reported, so Im guessing either the problem has been addressed or it was only a problem with certain lots. Even if I bury my nose in it, I only detect a faint plastic-y smell- nothing that I would ever notice unless I was looking for it. All in all, Im very pleased with the case, and especially with the price. The case also allows you to go incognito, since it doesnt have giant Vita or PS lettering on the sides- one of the reasons I tend to look for aftermarket or third-party cases for almost everything.

> 24 hourI bought this case for the sole purpose of protecting my vita during transport, and I believe it fulfills that requirement very well. It is a very sturdy case and has a little additional room to store 4 games and the USB cord. I read that some people did not like the elastic straps and I fully expected to cut them out when I received the product. However, I ended up liking them and felt they did a great job securing my Vita and preventing it from shaking around in the case. For me the only negative aspect to the case is that it can really only hold the USB cord and not the AC adapter/power cord. However since my only requirement when buying the case was that it be sturdy, I gave it 5 stars.

> 24 hourNot a bad case for the price. The hard shell seems like it would protect my Vita in case I dropped it, but the case has a weird smell to it. It gave me a headache, so the plan is to let it set in the garage for a few days to see if the scent dissipates. Ill update this review if it remains a problem.

> 24 hourThis case has served me well for over a year. There are some things though that you should be aware of: 1. Mine has a bright red/black cover. I was not expecting this as the picture shows it as all black. Not a big deal for me, but others might be disappointed as the design isnt for everyone. 2. After collecting a few game cartridges, I attempted to place them into the case but the stitching easily fell apart. I did not feel comfortable leaving them in there as they were very loose, so I will be shopping for a new case. As others have said, it is a sturdy case and I have traveled with the Vita in this case in luggage and on vacations and it has done a great job of keep it secure. It is just the extra storage that I would not trust.

> 24 hourI bought this to hold my Vita when I am out and about. I put it in my small tablet bag with other various electronics and it fits very well. The case itself is quite sturdy and I like the carabiner option. My one complaint is the lack of a way to hold extra memory cards, as my library is mostly digital. I did remedy this with another product that fits in the case, however. Update: The carabiner option has become too damaged to be safe anymore. The cloth strap holding the biner has nearly ripped off on one side because the case does not sit flat when hanging from the carabiner. Seeing as I did not use it that way very much, I am not terribly upset, but I am disappointed. Otherwise, this case has been pretty great.

> 24 hourThis case is very good. It is nice and hard to protect the vita and has straps to hold it in. My one complaint would be that the pouches that are inside do not hold anything in them so when you re open the case your games or accessories are strewn every where in the case. The 4 game holders work well though. In conclusion, if you are looking for a low price case that will protect your vita then this is the case for you.

> 24 hourI bought this for my son as he likes to take his Vita everywhere. So far it is a very good protective case. He puts it in his backpack with various other items, books, t shirts etc.... He even knocked the case off of his nightstand with the Vita in it and nothing happened to the Vita turned right on, works perfectly. I would buy it again, if you are going to pay $200 for a device then you might as well spend a few extra dollars to protect it.

> 24 hourOK, so assuming you get the right case from Amazon (it should be all black, with no graphics anywhere), this is a really nice case. I got the right one delivered March 14, so hopefully that situation is resolved! 1.) It doesnt smell at all. Im not sure why some peoples cases are smelling bad, but I have a really sensitive schnoz and I smell nothing. Which was surprising to me, since I was ready for the worst! 2.) It fits the Vita perfectly, and theres a little barrier between the zippers and the system so you wont be scratching your Vita up. But... 3.) The elastic straps are HORRIBLE! Absolutely the worst. It made it a small nuisance to get the Vita into the case, and a right nightmare to get it out. However, I just took a pair of scissors and snipped the elastic parts off and problem solved! No issues now, and you cannot tell the elastic was ever there in any way, shape or form. 4.) The build quality could be a bit better. I had to cut a few threads off, and the game slots arent super-high quality. But they do the job. Overall, the key thing is your Vita is well protected, and for how cheap this case is you really are getting something that works. And thats more than can be said for Sonys own travel pouch which is a flimsy nightmare and double the price... 4 stars out of 5.

> 24 hourFor the price it wont get much better than this. I just wanted something to keep my Vita safe while out and about. As someone else suggested in one of the reviews, dont use the elastic bands, just let the vita sit on top of them and then zip up the case. The problem is to use the bands you have to force the vita into the case and I just dont feel comfortable doing that as im trying to have the Vita last for many years to come. The case is solid and well built and I feel confident that dropping this a few feet up with my vita inside will do next to nothing to the Vita.

> 24 hourI bought this case because it was the cheapest I could find at the time for the Vita, but was kind of upset at how bulky the thing is when it arrived. Dont worry, itll grow on you. The top compartment, where you can hold games and memory cards, will normally stay hidden when you open the thing, and it makes a little area where I keep extra screen protectors and extra game cartridges. It can hold the computer-to-Vita section of the charger, but not the main adapter. There are straps in the section of the case that holds the Vita so you can just zip the case open and play, but since Ive been playing games that use the rear touchpad and R and L buttons I dont use them, and the Vita fits fine over them; I never bother to strap it in, anyway. So yeah, its bulky, but it fits just about everything you need for it. Ill usually carry this case around with the charger and Ill be fine. Also, I wouldnt go around testing it, but Ive dropped the thing and had a few close calls where I forgot it was inside my bag as Id throw it across the room with my Vita inside, and it protected it just fine.
