> 24 hourIm enjoying the pencils thus far but I have two issues with the package as it arrived. 1. The case itself was dented. Not sure if it happened during shipping but it marred an otherwise beautiful case for these. Main issue with the dent is that it has left me unable to close the case so Im likely going to have to purchase a separate pencil case to store these safely. 2. I was provided with two copies of the 264-Dark Phthalo Green pencil. Based on the document that came with this, it looks like Im missing the 163. Aside from these issues the product is nice. I feel like this pack is missing some variety in the purple/violet range but Im sure thats easily manageable given how blendable these pencils are. Just a few minor issues that have marred a product I was super excited to try out.

> 24 hourBy far these are the best pencils out there in my opinion. But it isnt fair to compare with wax based pencils. The oil base will always be better than the wax. They are expensive and I cannot get these in the US. Because of this I do alternate with two different brands depending on the seriousness of my coloring. The wood used for these I think is the best quality found in colored pencils. They sharpen with the least amount of waste. For the best realistic results, these are the pencils I use. Love them!

> 24 hourI’ve tried several brands of colored pencils, for relaxing coloring in adult coloring books, nothing major or pro. It is true that you get what you pay for. Prior to these, the best I used are the Prismacolor premieres, 2 diff kinds of Staedleter, a lower tier Faber Castell(which are great & have awesome color-laydown), every level of crayola, & various quality but generic types. I’d been dying to try these, the Fab.Cas. Polychromos. Just to start w/, I bought the 12 pack that comes in a neat thin metal case. The colors are pretty much vibrant, they lay down well, though a bit too heavy imo,as I find I can’t color a light shade w/ them, it’s either to rich or nothing. Also, they’re too thick for my taste, the entire penicil I mean, as well as the leads, just somewhat too thick. Truth be told, some common normal colors, such as a few blues, pink, orange, are not my favorite, whereas in other brands typical colors to me look nicer. Not too sure now if I’ll go for any of the bigger sets, the 24/36/60 etc. I do still honestly think that Faber-Castell is a top notch top of the line brand. High Quality. Unless I received a set that may have been exposed and left to high heat, or what have you, causing my pencils to not function the way they’re meant to, I believe they may be either a little overrated or, very overpriced.

> 24 hourMy fiancee absolutely loves these. So many color choices and great coloring feel. Her only complaint is that shes going to go through them so fast and cringes when she has to sharpen one. The trays have elastic straps on the sides to make it easy to remove them to get to the other pencils, and the case itself is very nice. Excellent pencils!

> 24 hourThese pencils are perfect for detail. For the longest time I used prismacolor for all pencil drawings. Prismacolor has very rich colors but the lead is thicker and softer, breaks more, and the wax will eventually rise to the surface of your drawings, resulting in a duller appearance. While I have less colors to work with in this set, they are superior quality. The lead is thinner but harder, so they dont break as often and are perfect for detail work, i.e. fur/hair etc. The colors are vibrant and permanent but lack any sort of shine. You have to get a oil-based colorless blender for these, the waxy one for prismacolors will NOT work. If you are learning to blend colored pencils still, are practicing, dont care if the wax permeates through eventually, or need large surface areas covered, I would recommend prismacolor. If you are are comfortable blending to get the shades you need, are looking for more advanced pencils, particularly for detail work, and this is professional work that cannot have excess wax on it, I would recommend the Faber-Castell.

> 24 hourI also have the 60v set of these, but I decided to purchase the 120, it does come in a tin, none of the pencils were broken..There is such a broad spectrum of colors I absolutely love it! Cant go wrong with this set combined with others. Love all of the different shades of blues, purples, greens, reds, pinks, and skin tone colors my goodness this set has it all. Totally worth having. It goes on smooth, blends very easily on many of my adult coloring books, and the colors are overall very vibrant, and can make some detailed pictures really pop! Hopefully this helps anyone who is seeking to add these pencils to their collection. They are 100% the real deal faber castell polychromos!

> 24 hourOh my gosh, I just purchased this set as a birthday present to myself. When I opened the tin, I almost lost my breath, it was so beautiful! As I removed the top and middle trays, it only got better. Then, I began to color with them. Be still, my heart! They are like coloring with a firm stick of butter, so soft and creamy and they put down a beautiful layer of color. I had to save up for a bit to get these, but it was so worthwhile. Do not ask yourself should I?, ask yourself when will I? They are worth the money for sure!

> 24 hourI love these pencils and use them interchangeable with the Caran dache and Prisma color pencils. These pencils are super light fast, good quality and the colors are vibrant. The only down side is the white is not very bright but any YouTube video will tell you that. For a bright white grab you a white Caran Dache or Prisma color both are really good!
