Adult Coloring Book Reviews by Shelly
> 3 dayThe Polychomos pencils are absolutely amazing. There were so many beautifully colored pictures in my Facebook group, Adult Coloring Worldwide, that I just had to ask what pencils they were using. It was the Polychomos. I started out with a small tin, of just 12, to give them a test run and fell in love with them. I already had the Prismacolors and Irojiten pencils, so I bought a small tin of Derwent also. The Polychomos were the definite winner, so I indulged and bought this beautiful set of 120. I cant imagine anyone being disappointed. It was money well spent on a hobby that I love.

> 3 dayAs many reviews state I have tried many brands of pencil and these Polychromos are top of the line. I did not plan to keep them in the tin but with 3 trays showing the shades side by side it is optimal. Prisma is second best but great with these as there are colors in each set the other does not have. Honestly I can put all the others up and just have these 2 sets on hand. The poloychromos pencils have a great feel and are wider in diameter than others and they are so smooth and feel great in your hand. Not one of the 120 were broken and sharpen nicely to a fine tip without breaking. Prisma has more trouble than these. Also I waited till these were on sale and with my amazon points I only paid 42.00 for the tin set of 120. Love them!

> 3 dayI started creating a swatch chart with my new set of 120 Polychromos pencils and wrote an email to Faber Castell informing them that I had received two Pine Green pencils and no Chrome Oxide Green. I was provided the opportunity to send the pencils to Faber-Castell for replacement and told that Faber-Castell USA does not sell or distribute through Amazon, nor are we affiliated with them. The pencil set was sourced through Topaz Worldwide, which returns a Page Not Found error when I click the link in the Orders record.

> 3 dayI wanted the pencil set for a very long time. Finally decided that I would treat myself to them. I do adult color books for reduction of stress. Positives: They color beautifully. Negatives : the color selection is not what I thought it would be. I would not pay the price for them unless you are a professional artist. The quality and design of the pencils are 100%

Greater than one weekThese are amazing. My favorite quality of these pencils besides how they lay down beautiful rich color is they are named actual pigment names. So if you have ever painted, youll be familiar with these colors. If you want to use mixed media, you can choose cadium or ultramarine blue pencils and pair them with cadmium or ultramarine blue watercolors. Also when blending, you will already know which colors blend well to create other colors. I have a set of Prismacolor premium pencils that I love but I wanted to diversify my colors. After TONS of research I decided to save up for this 120 piece set. Like Prismacolor, they have deep saturating color. The difference is it takes much less pressure to achieve that saturation. They are soft and easy to color with but they are also harder...Its hard to explain. Less color comes off the pencil but it is just as deep as Prismacolor. They will last longer because of this. No more sore fingers! The leads spread color like butter but doesnt disintegrate doing it. They feel smooth and stable gliding across your paper not dry and scratchy or rubbery and sticky. They also keep a nice point. They do not cover up black outlines with a cloudy waxy build up. They can be sharpened with a regular pencil sharpener although they are slightly thicker than my other colored pencils from other brands. They have a more substantial feel in your hand. If I find myself using another brand for a while and coming back to these, I immediately can feel the more dense and solid feel of them. They also come in a beautiful tin box with nice, solid, stable dividing trays. I thought nothing could get better than prismacolor, but these Polychromos do. Ill be using both sets together. They do mix well but the palette are different so you add more to your pallet.

> 3 dayI love my new 120 ct Faber Castell Polychromos. If I could give this one thousand stars I would. I love them, upon opening the package I could smell the colored pencil aroma and it pulled me right in. These colored pencils are amazing, they sharpen right to a point and they work very well. They are creamy and soft. The color comes out smooth and layers on well. These pencils are very nice to blend, I love the case it comes in. Its very well organized and theres little strings to open it to the next layer of colors. My package also came wrapped in a box that fits perfectly around this box so I am going to keep it that box too keep them perfect.

> 3 dayThese are amazing colored pencils. The best Ive had the pleasure of working with and the tin is gorgeous. I splurged and bought the set of 120 and once I had my hands on them, they were well worth the price. The color lays down fabulously and the pigment is rich and vibrant. Sure, they arent as buttery smooth as Prismacolors, but they are smooth nonetheless (and have better quality throughout). Faber Castell never disappoints. Then again, when youve been making pencils since the 1700s you tend to hone your skills to perfection. What I didnt expect though, was the sweet woodsy smell of cedar when I took off the shrink wrap. This was a pleasant surprise because I love cedar It reminds me of my grandfather and how he used to do woodworking when he was younger. His shop always had a sweet woodsy smell to it. I highly recommend this product!

Greater than one weekThis was my first time ever using Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils and was I ever amazed. It was hard to spend this much money on colored pencils, but I am very pleased that I did. I do not have to use a blender with these pencils and I do not have to apply as much product to the paper as I do with other pencils, so you do get your moneys worth. They are super colorful and so smooth, but not waxy smooth. It is a creamy smooth, which makes it very enjoyable to use. I will cherish these and use them as my dominant coloring tool. Love them!!!!!@
