Gamewright Rat-A-Tat-Cat Multi-colored, 5

I played this as a child and teenager 20 yrs ago. I watched all my younger four siblings play it and love it. I now had a 4 yr old girl that LOVES it!!! I bought it when she was three and I was sick of candy land. She picked up on her numbers very quickly when I told her she could play if she remembered her numbers. She understands the small amount of strategy. I played the younger child rules where they can leave the outer two cards face up about four times. During those times my husband and I played the older child rules. She quickly caught in and wants to play like us. I have been using this game for homeschool preschool math. She understand higher and lower numbers with no problem now, and it was a very fun way to teach it. We own hundreds of games at our house and this is one of my favorite two games for her age group. I would recommend for any family. While it is simple to understand for an adult, most adults are willing to play many rounds with my child. Each round takes less than five. Minutes and the game can end after just one round.

I played this as a child & found it again. Pleased that my entire family from young kids to grandparents are all keen to play!

Rat-A-Tat-Cat is a simple, easy to learn, card game that is fun for all ages.

Kids love it, even when they are older, they change 9 to be 0 and change the rules up, they still love this game at 14 years old

Daughter loves it

Ive bought a number of games for my 7-year-old grandson, but Rat-A-Tat really caught his attention. He kept asking to play it. The rules are simple enough that he understood them easily, in fact he was soon coming up with his own versions of the rules (play for high score rather than low, etc.) Even his 4-year-old brother enjoyed playing. It was good discipline to have to remember the cards and to not look again at them.

My 6 yr old likes to play, very clever game.
