> 3 dayWe have used InfantOptics cameras for a few years now and love them. The second camera is easy to pair and we like only having one monitor screen. We have had a few issues with the battery life on the monitor and customer service was able to walk me though how to reset it and now it works perfectly again! We also had some nightvision fading with our first camera and customer service was able to replace that camera for free. They are incredibly helpful if there are any issues. These products have stood up well and are a great value! Theyre also easy to travel with if you need to- we pack our camera and monitor on vacation with us and theyre easy to set up in a new location as well.

Greater than one weekWorks great as a second camera for my original system. Zoom on any of these original cameras is trash but it works. Just grainy. I wish there was an easier way to flip between cameras like adding it as a shortcut instead of having to go through the menu every time

> 3 dayWe purchased this monitor after our previous monitor by Summer Infant was discontinued so we weren’t able to get a second camera to hook up to it, so we took advantage of the opportunity to try out a new brand! The good reviews and personal recommendations encouraged us to go with this monitor, and having used it for a while I thought I’d leave a quick review. Pros: Battery life is pretty good It’s nice to be able to turn off the beep for when the battery is low or you go out of range It has the temperature of the room, which is GREAT, our last one didn’t have that It has an icon to show when the talk button is being pressed and the camera end is able to hear you (another feature I like that our last one didn’t have) It has most of the features I expect (2 way communication, video screen, ability to turn on and off the screen to save battery, night vision) Cons: Image is not the most amazing for nighttime use, it’s still a little grainy (our last monitor was the same if not a little better) The image is choppy, especially at night. It doesn’t flow smoothly like a video ought to, instead it is like a bunch of pictures stitched together quickly (our last monitor was way better in this respect) I wish you could adjust the volume on the monitor elsewhere rather than going into the menu each time The kickstand is a little flimsy and it falls over by itself a lot When you turn the screen on it flashes the last image it showed, then updates to the current image. It makes it look like my kid is moving when he’s been still for who knows how long! I miss the charging station of our last monitor, you could just plop it on the station to charge instead of having to plug it in and keep track of the plug and make sure it doesn’t fall off the back of your nightstand when you unplug it for a minute… It was a really nice feature! It would be nice to see the percentage of battery left rather than just estimate based on the battery image looking less or more full Unsure: Range – our friends tell us the range is amazing on their unit, but we’ve had it break up a couple times within our small house (though we think there is lead paint in the walls or something else to prevent it from working 100%. Our last monitor worked about the same) I’m not sure what the antenna does, if it actually helps anything or is just in the way. We haven’t tried or needed the second lens yet, maybe with the baby it will be more helpful since he doesn’t move all around the crib like the older kid does I haven’t figured out what the short cut button is for, and why they dedicated so much space to it Overall a pretty good monitor, and I think

Greater than one weekWe bought our first monitor for our son two years ago. We never realized the infrared sensor was not working and therefore, the night vision was poor. We thought it was just the system, so we stuck with it in order to avoiding purchasing a whole new monitor system with a different brand. Our second son was born recently and we purchased an add-on camera. We couldn’t believe the difference in quality. We called the company and that was when we realized the sensor must have come damaged with our original camera. However, since the one year warrantee had lapsed, they could offer us a 50% discount for a replacement. Customer services was quick and responsive. We did need to buy a separate zoom lens and battery replacement (with a much longer life), as well as a wall mount. Seen below: -Zoom lens: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ECGX24E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -Battery replacement: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074J5B2LW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -Wall mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RZCRW7X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I do wish it came with the technology to automatically switch to the room where a child is crying or making noise as opposed to always remaining on scan. In addition, it would be nice to be able to access the monitor though an app on my phone so I did not always need to bring the monitor with me (the range does reach a little outside the house).

> 3 dayMy toddler and baby share a room and I am really happy that this monitor can scan from left to right and up and down with the normal lens enough that I can keep an eye on both of them at night. I did buy a separate wide angle lens but haven’t needed it so far because of the great viewing options with the normal lens! Very happy the wide angle lens is an option though as we can use it to monitor them playing in the play room with an add-on camera. Also, we are having another baby soon and I am glad we can add another camera for baby’s room while still using the same parent unit. Very practical. I do like that the cameras can do temperature readings for each room since the big kids’ room and baby’s room will likely feel different at certain times of day/night. Overall, it’s a very functional way us to keep an eye on all 3 of our “littles” wherever they are in the house. Very excited about this new monitor!

> 3 dayI am thoroughly pleased with the infant optics dxr8 monitor I had bought after intense research for my first born in 2017. 4 years already and its working so well. I have a 7 month old now and because of separate rooms for both kids I needed an add on camera. Setup was so easy. Night vision is fine, picture quality is the same as the one I already own and switching between cameras is super easy. Overall a great purchase. Inwould recommend the product.

Greater than one weekI got this monitor because our other broke shortly before our second baby arrived. I was so happy with how much better quality the picture was than with our previous camera which was terrible! I also loved being able to have multiple cameras for the monitor. Everything was going perftly until late week the monitor stopped working. I was a little annoyed, naturally. But when I reached out to customer service they were quick to tak me through the process to get a replacement shipped out! They were amazing. I just received the replacement today and I’m so happy to have it back. I highly recommend this monitor. The quality is amazing and you can’t beat the customer service!

Greater than one weekThis is a pretty good product, easy to use, does what it needs to most of the time. The only exterior design flaw is that its not very stable, rounded edges and an off center support make it easy to knock over. falling over exacerbates the second issue. The battery connection is absolute crap. It jiggles loose constantly and youll suddenly find that its just dead despite having been plugged in all day. They could have found a dozen ways to secure the battery cable but they seem to prefer selling new ones. I had to shell out about $80 the week I bought the camera because there is no warranty on the battery and they did nothing to troubleshoot to problem. But, if you open up the back and press firmly on the plastic part of the battery connection with something hard it will go back to working until one of the next times you reach for it in the dark and it falls off your nightstand.

> 3 dayThis was an add on camera for my second child. I had a small issue with the charger on my first camera (it made a high pitched noise), and Infant Optics sent me a replacement charger. After approximately 6 months with the second camera, it started to get difficult to see my son in the dark; it still worked fine if the room was well lit. It gradually got worse and worse until we couldnt see him at all anymore with night vision. I contacted Infant Optics and they were great about sending me a replacement camera. My only issue is that I had to pay return shipping, and had to send the camera back before they sent a new one, so I was without a camera for a couple days. They did provide expedited shipping, so the new camera came quickly.

Greater than one weekUpdate on 12/15/2020: The replacement monitor that was provided by the company, under warranty, failed at just 1 year, the screen freezes and I have to remove the battery and disconnect the power to reset it before putting it back to turn on again. Imagine your child crying and you have no idea because the monitor froze in the middle of the night. Customer service says its out of warranty, fair enough, but dont expect to buy this and use it for more than 1 year, 3-ish years max if it failed in the warranty period and they replace it for you. They offer me either to pay 45 to repair it, which includes shipping or 50% off to buy the new monitor. Imagine buying an Iphone and it fails after the warranty period is over and you have to pay to repair it or buy a new one at a discount, without assurance that it will last more than 1 year. This unit is not cheap and $165 for monitor and camera, then another $100 for an additional camera. I paid close to $300 for this thing and now its worthless. Correction to my initial review, not worth buying anymore. Original review: I purchased this about a year and a half ago when my twins were born, plus the additional camera so I could have one camera on each child. Recently, the monitor unit would not turn on and I was outside the warranty period. I contacted customer service and they walked me through a couple of steps to test the unit and see if we could reset it, that failed. They were so kind to provide me a replacement unit, I had to ship the broken one back. Kristine was very helpful throughout the whole process and walked me through everything step by step. One of the features I particularly like about this unit is the temperature monitor, since temperatures can differ from room to room, it allows me to adjust the thermostat accordingly so it doesnt get too hot for them in the summer or too cold for them in the winter. Picture quality is really good, quality is affected by the distance, so test how far you want to place the camera before mounting it, mine are mounted on the wall pointing downward. This is an expensive unit, but good product and good company. Worth buying.
