> 24 hourAs you can see from the pictures I have iRobots literally littering my house. When they work they are decent. When they dont you may as well toss them. Support is nearly non-existent. They put you through what I like to refer to as a support beatdown where they wear you down over the course of days at hours a time up to a point you dont care if it works or not. My wife and I are both Technical Architects each with 20-plus years in IT. I think we know how to add a device to wifi. When we tell them we have 4 different networks we have tried and have reset the vacuum 20 plus times and it wont connect and it has been connected how can it be a problem with our very well thought out and deployed system which has access points in every room, non-hybrid, but actually an access point for each band on separate VLANs with distinct SSIDs. Foolishness. Then when you get done with a 2 hour support call where they confirm everything you already told them then they ghost you for a week or more with no calls, emails or inkling that they even care about you as a customer. Did I mention I also have the mop? The lid broke on that in a week and wont latch down, so I have duct tape holding that together. Looks sweet for the 300 bucks I dropped. You think when you have a track record of investing thousands of dollars in a companys products they would have a minimal care in the world. Trust me iRobot does not care about its customers. They clain to have all the highest end cool features like the app quality and obstacle avoidance but does any of that make the least bit of difference if the machine wont add to the app you use to control it by? I bought a OKP vacuum on Amazon here since iRobot wont support their products for about 100 dollars and the thing was set up and working in 5 minutes and hasnt skipped a beat. Save yourself a complete nightmare and buy something that either works and doesnt require support or has support that actually cares.

> 24 hourMake sure all your cords and cables are picked up off the floor and you still should vacuum every other week or so with a real vacuum and if you have cats youre going to have to clean the hair out of it a cat brush works really well for removing the hair from the vacuum brush. This thing is amazing it cleans the vinyl tiles and the carpet this. The back door area where my cat box is at after Ive cleaned the cat box I left the cat box up out of the area set the vacuum down there press the go button and it takes off and cleans the perfectly when its done it lets me know I pick it up set it on the kitchen floor hit home and it drives right back to the home station docks itself most days it has no problem at all every once in awhile. Someone will leave a wire on the floor for a cell phone and it will eat it. But all you have to do is flip it over push the two little yellow tabs and it easily comes apart a little spinner brush is easily removed with a small Phillips head screwdriver the filter in the compartment that holds the dirt pops right out in his easily rinseable even if this thing only lasts a year it was worth the money to buy it because I dont have to vacuum But like once a month. Between my son who is 12 and my cat I felt like I was spending every day sweeping the kitchen floor from my son dropping food particles everywhere and the cat tracking cat litter up the stairs and all over the kitchen floor. Again worth every penny. Im thinking about buying a second one for the second floor of the house.

> 24 hourI bought this knowing that there are better models out there that does all if the extra scanning and zoning etc. For my home layout however I was ok with the turn on and leave approach. This unit is exactly that. It simply bounces around and cleans the areas it passes on very well. There is a slight method to the madness as it will eventually go back to the spots you thought it missed. Since I use it when no one is around its perfect for me. I also have mainly flat floors so not too sure about deep cleaning

> 24 hourWe like to use this for cleanings in-between thorough once a month professional cleanings. You need to keep an eye on it while it is running, because it sometimes gets stuck under a cabinet or on a hefty rug. We move some of our chairs and other furniture before using the Roomba so it can move more freely.

> 24 hourThe positives: I use it every day. Just turn it on and let it go. One day is downstairs, the next day is upstairs. It senses drop offs so it doesn’t fall down any stairs. It runs for about 90 minutes, gets underneath furniture, zig zags everywhere, is meticulous around corners and grooves it can get into. When it runs downstairs where the base is it docks itself when the battery is dying. After running it several days in a row I have noticed a decrease in the amount of dirt, dust, dog hair and human hair it catches. The negatives: it’s dirt receptacle is very small. Doesn’t hold much and has to be emptied every time. It can’t get into inside corners very well, only outside. There is a fan of some sort that blows as it moves around and it does tend to blow debris around or the little brushes end up throwing the debris off to the side. While it can make it over ledges in the floor, like rugs or wood separating rooms, there are certain rugs it struggles with like bathroom rugs or any rug that has strings hanging around on it as it wants to suck them up. I have not used the remote. Call it laziness on my part. I carry it upstairs on those days and I jus5 lean down and hit the go button when it’s downstairs. Knowing how some of these models are so extremely expensive I am very happy with the performance of this inexpensive model. So what if I have to still vacuum periodically in the corners and the stairs. This is well worth the money!

> 24 hourPROS: - The Roomba does a great job cleaning vinyl floor and carpet alike. I was amazed at how much dust / cat hair / cat litter particles / specks of random oddities that the Roomba is able to clean. It really does an excellent job cleaning what it passes over! - Scheduling the Roomba to vacuum when my wife and myself are at work. Its great to come home to a nicely vacuumed apartment. - This is a budget item and is pretty affordable when compared to some of the other robot vacuums out there. - Alexa smart home integration. CONS: - Its a bit of a noisy bugger. Youll want to have it vacuum while youre out of the house, which you can schedule easily, however, so no big deal honestly. - The Roomba is not very intelligent, for a lack of better words. It can focus on a small area if theres a large amount to clean up there, but it cant distinguish which rooms or areas are typically the most dirty, like your kitchen. Some other more expensive Roombas are capable of doing this. - Being that you cannot program the Roomba to intelligently learn about your house, it will attempt to enter areas that it will inevitably get stuck at, every time. You will need to Roomba proof your house. For me, that means closing the door to a certain room in my house if I really want the Roomba to get a deep cleaning, otherwise it will get stuck in that room while Im gone, and stop its job early. - The Roomba cant really find its way home, very often. After a long job, Ill often find the Roomba died somewhere in my house and Ill have to bring it back to its home base to recharge. OVERALL: Honestly, these cons are very minimal in the grand scheme of things. The Roomba really does an excellent job of cleaning my house, and after Roomba proofing it , Im able to get more successful jobs that clean more and more. I absolutely recommend this if youre looking for a way to automate cleaning your home. If you want a sophisticated Roomba, you might want to splurge for a more advanced model. As it stands however, this is still a great purchase and Id absolutely buy another robot vacuum from iRobot when this one inevitably one day dies. I cant imagine not having a robot vacuum in my home now with how incredibly helpful this one is. Buy it!

> 24 hourWe vacuum(Ed) every single day because of dog and cat fur but thanks to Sam (what we named it) we no longer have to! Sam is crest for getting clumps of hair and small crumbs. It lets us have a day off of vacuuming but with that being said it is not a deep clean and does not eliminate the need to use a normal vacuum still. Pros: runs while no one is home, there is an app, charge is enough to get the main parts of the house (1.75-2 hour charge). Cons: no rhyme or reason to the path it takes so some gets missed, no mapping, the app can only start and stop or tell you it’s stuck.

> 24 hourIt does a terrific job climbing up on to my rugs from the hardwood, and over bits of trim between rooms. It manages the cat fur tumbleweeds all over my house. It avoids falling down the stairs every time. I have about 800 square feet on my main floor, and the robot gets that job tackled in about 70 minutes. About one out of a dozen times it will get hung up on my pedestal style dining table. It goes up the pedestal foot like a ramp, it’s wheels come off the floor and it hangs there helpless. Then it calls me for help. No big. I wish it had a lower profile so it could clean under my couch. That feels like a couch problem though, not a robot problem. I occasionally wish I’d splurged on a model with mapping so I could ask it to clean a specific room while I’m not in it. That sounds like a me problem though, not a robot problem. A lot of reviews complain about things that I feel are lack of maintenance. Low suction- replace the filter. Not picking up hair any more- clean or replace the brush. The spinny bit that cleans along the baseboard isn’t spinning- take it off and clean it. Not charging- clean the contacts. The parts are cheap. The maintenance is easy. Take care of your Roomba and it will take care of you.

> 24 hourThe 692 is a great robot vacuum that is easy to get setup and works well. Its a great starter vacuum that has good suction and will run for 90 minutes before needing to recharge. Our main floor is 1700 square feet and it really struggled to clean it all. We block it into half the house and run it, then recharge it and let it run in the other half. The only real disappointment is charging. Many times it wont find its way back to the station to charge and will stop somewhere in the house, out of battery. And when it does find its way back, it will rarely charge. The contacts for charging are too sensitive and if I dont clean them after every cleaning, then it wont charge while docked. In effect, this eliminates the ability to rely on it to run on schedules, as it may not charge while docked and be out of battery when its scheduled to run. Otherwise, very pleased with this purchase, but will buy a more advanced version in the future.

> 24 hourI live in a small two bedroom house and run this little guy daily. It does a 5 star vacuum the first time it’s used after replacing the rotor and/or taking 30 minutes to clean the parts. After one or two vacuums (1400 sq feet), the performance is noticeably worse.
