If you are using this for incandescent bulbs, just know the lowest setting is about 75% brightness. Otherwise, everything about it is great.

I was having difficulty with setting up the smart switch on the internet. The support rep, Hanson did a great job helping me figure out where I had made a mistake. The switch works like a charm. The software is easy to use. I love it!

High quality piece but you need a whole house smart system. Silly me thought I could just use it with my wifi. Returned without issue.

Easy to use. Instructions are as easy as plugging in a power cord..

I had some difficulty getting the device set up on my network. The customer support person, Jacky, provided detailed troubleshooting instructions and followed up with me regularly until I was able to connect. The switch works really well on my Edison bulb string lights around my deck.

Ive tried several of the other cheaper smart plugs and its hit or miss if they work or not. I have 3 Kasa plugs including this outdoor one and they were all simple to connect (less than 5 minutes), integrate with google home and work just as I need them too. Do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks extra and get the Kasa so you dont have to deal with the headaches.

So, neither directions in both the Kasa app and the Alexa app or online with TP-Link work. Basically, I had to fumble around in both apps until they merged. Try what I did, open both apps and add TP-Link Kasa to Alexa, open the Kasa app and try to add 3rd party control. Pray, and continue futzing with it. No I idea how, nor could I replicate it if I had to. Total crap directions, very frustrating. It does work now though by some miracle of luck.

Despite being “#1 Best Seller in Plug-In Dimmers“ according to this site, this device does not, in fact, dim. Not this company’s fault though so I’m giving it 5 stars as a fine smart on/off switch but returning it tomorrow.

I use these to control my low voltage yard lights and seasonal Christmas lights. I really like the turn on 15 minutes before sunset feature. It turns the lights on before it gets dark no matter what time of year it is. Beats having to readjust mechanical timer pins as the length of days change. I have had these for over a year and have had no problems. I keep them in a waterproof sockit box so I cant attest to how waterproof they are. I also like the alexa integration feature.
