We wanted a wifi enabled plug to use in an unheated hen house which is about 50 behind our house and on the opposite side of the house from the router, so about 70 away. This plug works flawlessly. I set it to turn a light on at 5:30 am and off at 8:30 am, and it does just that. I can control it from my phone, using the Kasa app. We just purchased a 2nd one to control the heater in our greenhouse. It was too far from the house for the Feit smartplug which would frequently go offline. This Kasa plug works flawlessly, so if the temperature outside drops lower than expected, I can turn the heater (plugged into the Kasa plug) on from inside the house. Highly recommend this plug!

I bought this item three years ago. It works just fine. However, I have misplaced the covers that came with it. The company has no way to replace them. So, if you buy this item - do not misplace those covers, or else make sure both sockets are being used in bad weather.

This works really well. The amperage of my motor is about 13 amps and I have had no problems with the 15 amp smart plug. I wish I would have bought a double smart plug since both can be programmed differently.

This item is exactly what I needed and I am very happy with it. I’ll recommend this to anyone needing something like this.

With our electricity having recently increased 40% per kWh, I knew this season, I needed to run our pool on a timer rather than 24/7 given it drawing 16amps (@124VAC). Rather than having to go to the trouble and cost of wiring up an actual pool pump timed, I figured I’d just by a heavy duty extension cord, cut the end off to wire to the pump motor, and use this since I already have a ton of Kasa gear. It’s been working perfectly! This unit seems to have no issue handling the nearly 2000w load of the pool motor. The brief startup load is even higher which has not been a problem. The signal range is rather exceptional as well.

Works as expected. I followed the advice in the directions about is facing downwards and it has been through some crazy rain storms and still is functioning. My only issue is the rubber plug cover broke off when I was trying to open it up. Oh well. It doesnt really matter since I will have a cord plugged into it anyways. It was just a way to keep the cover with the unit. I will just have to see if I will every remember to find the cover in the junk drawer when I store the smart plug. The picture attached shows where the little rubber tether broke. I would recommend this product thus far. I did not try any Alexa integrations. Though I do link this through the Samsung Smartthings App, and that works. Though you get a little more information in the Kasa App about the usage. I will say I have an disappointment in the smart plugs I find now versus the ones I used to get. I am not really finding any that give power usage.

Im always amazed by affordable gadgets that serve their purpose so reliably that you forget theyre even there. This dimmer/timer works flawlessly and the phone app makes everything conveniently controllable if you want to adjust your lights. A winner!

Works good as a timer. There is no dimmer feature.

This is my third Kasa smart plug and will certainly not be my last. I now have two dual plugs and this single, dimmable, plug. I use them in our back yard to light up our fire pit, on the front porch for Christmas lights and on the deck for controlling the pool pump and other pool resources. These plugs are ultra customizable and fully integrate with Google Home (I do not use Alexa, so I cannot rate that integration). I find it best to customize them in the native Kasa app and then can control them from any of my Google Home apps or devices. The quality of the devices is also top notch and have had no issues with them being outside, fully exposed to the weather.

This is used to control outdoor led dimmable string lights on our gazebo. Being outdoors, there is no issues with staying connected to our router which is inside our home.
