Storage is more than enough for a boot drive and it restored life to an older gaming laptop running off a HDD. Never been convinced of SSD’s superior speeds but now I can say I’ve been in the Stone Age for too long. Went from taking 5 minutes or more to have everything loaded on my desktop all the way down to maybe 45 seconds to have YouTube or a game open.

Both my kids computers needed a new boot drive. They are not very big but perfect to boot windows from. We use either other SSDs or HDD for games and other files. So far so good.

I shucked the drive out of its case, and it is tiny! It went right into the case of a Dell Wyse 5060 thin client, replacing a bulkier 16GB storage card, and the current Debian installer saw it right away.

These are on sale and I bought five of them. The first one went wonderful. I thought I did good for getting them in around 20-25 bucks. Second one had issues loading the operating system. Third one had tons of issues and eventually died within two days of install. I have not used the last two. I will probably call and get my warranty for the two that failed. I will not be buying this brand again. I do not recommend this product. Even though its cheap it is not worth it.

Corrupted files twice including the Win 10 network controller, so I could not get back online. Replaced with the original WD HD, backup files and several days of rebuild.

Tossed it in an old Dell to boost performance, works well with Gentoo and various distros.

Works like a charm. Perfect boot drive.

No problems with this drive at all. I usually use a small drive like this in a laptop or music streamer. It definitely sped things up.
