This is excellent. I love that I can connect to my library and check books out directly from the tablet rather than from another device. The features are awesome, it works perfectly. I have no complaints

This is my first e-Reader and I am really enjoying it. Pros: - Very light, which makes it super easy to use in any situation, like laying in bed - USB C charging - Screen brightness & color options - Font options - Ability to side load books from your computer - The screen itself - Battery life - Charging speed - Comfortable to hold one or two handed - Book cover is shown when the device is in sleep mode, which looks nice Cons: - None whatsoever as of right now

Man. I’m so glad I switched from the paperwhite. This libra 2 is 1000x better. Great battery life, way easier to hold. Perfect size. Love that I can read horizontal or vertical. The buttons are amazing. Like I cannot recommend this enough. It integrates so well with calibre if you use that to organize your books!!

I love my Libra 2! This was my first e-reader, and I am blown away by how much I enjoy it and how many more books I read in any given month because it’s so easy with this! It is very light and easy to hold and easy to press the mechanical buttons to turn the page, which I love. The finger swipe to adjust brightness is great, and the angled side makes it easy to rest it in one palm. Battery life is sufficient but I don’t really have anything to compare it to. The integration with overdrive is amazing so I can easily check out ebooks from my library on the Libby app and read them on the Libra. I have also bought books from the kobo store to read and transferred epic books and PDF books from my computer with the included cable using Adobe digital editions software and that process was not super convenient but also not too much of a hassle. Overall I love this thing and can read outside in the blaring sun or inside late at night with gentle yellow light so it doesn’t strain my eyes. My only gripe is that the highlighting process is not very ergonomic and it is error prone, and I have to manually transfer highlights to my computer as exported text files rather than integrating them with an app like Readwise. Also, I am a heavy user of the Pocket app for news and web articles, and although there is integration with the Libra 2, it doesn’t have the ability to save your highlights to Pocket which is really the only reason I use Pocket so I was really disappointed. Basically I don’t use Pocket and instead use this exclusively as an ebook reader with my overdrive account, but it is absolutely perfect for that and I highly recommend!

Works great when it works. i got this for library books only. Dislike: *missing books from the librarys catalog (e.g. things i have taken out on libby do not appear on the kobo). *buggy. sometimes typing is incredibly frustating. itll interpret my figure tap as several different keys all over the key pad. *sometimes it synchs with overdrive. sometimes it wont. no idea what to do. wait? come back in a few days? very frustrating. i think ill get rid of it instead. *its kinda annoying how this is set up to push you towards for the kobo store. why do i have to log into walmarts website to set this up? im not going to buy books. i go this for the library books only. but i have to jump through hoops to get there! Likes *good battery power. *i did like the e-reader reading experience more than i thought i would. *way better than reading on a tablet! easier on the eyes Conclusion: this is not for me. i gave the ereader a try. back to books for me! ill check back in a few years hopefully they will figure out how to make this technology work. the concept is promising, but its a clunky buggy piece of hardware that trys to push you to buy books from them. WARNING: amazon wont let you return this. it started acting buggy now and its too late to return. so be careful.

Best reader, great battery life even with wifi on, has buttons as well as the touch screen for turning pages, comfortlight pro easy on the eyes, 32gb storage, worth it!

I comes from kindle. And the kobo libra 2 just blow my mind. Its so much crispier. After looking at kindle screen for years now up to the latest gen, the kobo libra 2 display is the best one. Text are so crispier and less eyes strain.

Enjoyable e-reader that doesnt need to be charged every day. I like the lighting options available on it. Putting books on it was pretty simple. I like the ability to zoom in on PDF versions of books that will stay there from page to page, but there doesnt seem to be an ability to retain that when you close the book and re-open it. The physical buttons to turn pages were a huge plus for me. Unfortunately there is no option I saw to turn off swiping for page turns entirely, so occasionally when I try to tap the page Im on to pull up the options, itll turn the page on me if Im not hitting the right area. Occasionally glitches, though infrequent enough that its not a deal-breaker. Overall helped me read content in a much more comfortable way than staring at a computer screen, which has helped make digital textbooks for school more tolerable. Would recommend.

I needed a replacement since my Kobo Aura 2 died after taking an unexpected bath in condensation water. Yeah, I stupidly left it in a spot where room humidity became water and steadily dripped on it until I found it in a puddle. So, for a week, I tried going back to regular paperback books. Once you go ebook reader, you really cant go back. You miss all the extra features that you get accustomed to using. And the Libra 2 is a step up. As it is a little bigger, that means the print is a little bigger. That is so much easier on my old eyes. The edge that has the two physical buttons on it makes it easier to hold and even operate one-handed (I often snack while reading). It does also have two features that I doubt I will ever use. One is Overdrive. My library dropped that service in favor of a similar one long ago. So this software just takes up space for nothing. The other is the ability to play audiobooks if you have compatible headphones or speakers. I do own a few audiobooks, but it is just handier for me to play them on my home computer, where they reside. If I could make two suggestions to Kobo for the future: 1) Make library borrowing software optional. One should be able to visit the Kobo website and install it if needed. Software for similar services should also be available. 2) Create a text-to-speech feature. Give the user the option of selecting the gender, age, and accent of the voice, to make it more appropriate to the type of book being read. Since I tend to fall asleep while listening to stuff, a timer for it to auto stop would be nice. I am told that this reader is waterproof, so I hope to avoid a repeat of what cost me my Aura.
