You would think “shop” vacuum with it being Makita, but this is better than the last 2 “home” vacuums we’ve had. Great suction, battery lasts longer than listed (30min listed, I get 45min to an hour with 3.0 battery. Convenient holster for hanging.

The entrance to our house was constantly dirty. Thanks to the Makita 18V cordless vacuum, our entrance is now clean. Kept in the coat closet, its always ready to go and right there. No cords, just grab it, pull the trigger, and a couple swipes later...clean floors. This vacuum is a game changer. LOVE IT! The availability of replacement filters is also why I bought this.

Really convenient not to have to deal with a cord and hose to pick up hair, dust and light debris. Suction is adequate but does not compete with my shop vac. Easy to empty and store on included bracket.

Works for our needs on hardwood floors. Suction could be better. Easy to use. You have to press and hold the button while vacuuming which is a bit annoying. Wish there was a button to keep it on so we dont have to keep holding it.

Corners. This thing kills corners. Corners of stairs, corners of vehicles, corners of baseboards; whatever corner you can think of, with the fine tip attachment, it dominates these corners easily. This thing has the perfect amount of power with the fine tip attachment. As for large surface areas, dont even think about it. I use a traditional vac for large surface areas. The traditional vacuum blade attachment for this vacuum simply doesnt have the power to do this efficiently. Also, make sure to buy the Makita Cyclonic Vacuum attachment. It should come with the base kit, but its a small price to pay for a major upgrade. At my work, i pick up a lot of drywall dust, and after 3 months, I still have yet to replace the filter. Sure, depending on your use per week, you may have to clean out all the internals on a weekly/ bi-monthly basis, but this attachment makes it 10x easier. With this attachment, you can get away with clearing the cyclone chamber 6-7 times before cleaning the rest of the internals. Honestly, you might get more out of it before doing a full clean (a full clean I classify as a hot rinse of the plastics/filter, about a 5 minute activity). Im just a neat freak with my tools, so typically wash the thing out once a week (70 hour work weeks).

I needed a small vacuum for quick jobs around the house - but dont have any room to keep it on a charging dock. This is a great solution. I have been using the vacuum in hand held mode for over a month now, and have not had to re-charge the battery yet. This fits my needs perfectly. I will add that if you need something for a more deep clean, this may not be as good since it only had 3 attachments. I also dont think this would work on carpet or fabrics.

I just got this today. I put the tube on, without the floor adapter, strapped on a headlamp, and went bunny hunting. Dust bunnies, that is. I have all hardwood flooring and two dogs, so the dust bunnies collect everywhere. I have a great Shark rotator for when I want to really vacuum the whole house, but its a pain to plug in and maneuver. This thing is light and easy to walk around with, sounds good and works good. It doesnt have the power of a plug in vacuum, of course, but it will pick up all the little scraps and dog hair thats making the floor look dirty. Its very easy to empty, too. In no time I had enough dog hair to make a spare dog inside the see-through dust bin. It took a few seconds to empty it, and was intuitive. Theres a screen outside the fabric filter, so that makes it easy. I love it. Update: Ive had it now for a month or so, and my house looks great. Ive found missing socks in the dust bunnies Ive sucked up. It has enough power to twist in my hand when it starts, and it will suck a penny up the long tube off a hard wood floor. It picks up anything reasonable, and Ive yet to find anything that fits in the tube and wont go up. Battery life seems great to me, but I have a bunch of Makita stuff so theres always a charged battery around.

I had to tie a rubber band around the handle to roll up over the power button which saves my fingers from having to hold it down while I’m vacuuming. An annoying flaw in design, but that’s the only real complaint I have with it. It’s definitely not designed for carpeted floors or rugs but can do the job with some extra effort.

A great little utility vacuum for home, car, office, etc. It tackles the dirt of two teens, two toddlers, a cat, and two busy parents. It charges quick, and is quick to deploy thanks to its mount. The wide angle head is large enough to make this vacuum usable for large carpets, the narrow head gets into tight spots well, and the scrub brush head will pry up stubborn dust. I also like that you can take out the neck tubing to use it (with or without attachments) for small/tight areas. I even use it to suck up fruit flies before releasing them outside. We were struggling to find a vacuum that we liked, and I decided to purchase the Makita because it looked very functional. It ended up being our favorite vacuum cleaner yet, and helps us keep our kitchen and living room clean. It also makes short work of vacuuming a car. The battery charges in 20 minutes, and lasts a good amount of time between charges. We havent noticed issues with cracking, and were pretty rough on things. You do have to clean it from time to time.

Hung the vacuum up in a convenient spot. Super easy to grab and use to make for quick vacuum ups. Bought it for quick small clean ups and we love it so much we have started using it for entire house. Has good suction and does the job well.
