> 3 dayBought this for quick pick-ups in the laundry room where the cats litter box is kept. So good, I use it for quick pick-ups around the whole house. I use Milwaukee batteries and bought an 18 volt Milwaukee to Makita battery adapter on Amazon for $12. Works great!

> 3 dayI bought this for my daughter as a gift because I love this product and have two of these myself. I use them when I clean houses as well as in my own home. Great for collecting dust, fuzz, hair, and small particulate matter, and fog R getting in corners. I bought an extra battery. Nothing wrong with the battery it comes with. The battery with the purchase is good for about 15 minutes. I like the option of having one charge while I work. Not a complaint because having a vacuum that you can use for corners and as described and not having to be connected to a cord is wonderful. I keep my batteries fully charged. Great product. I also picked this one online because it has all the parts and didn’t require buying it piecemeal.

> 3 dayI have a German Shepherd whose sole purpose in life is to generate loose fur. This thing helps keep her fur-drifts down between dragging out the Shark for deep cleaning sessions. The 2ah batter that comes with it is adequate, but I swapped it into my tool bag and put one of my spare 5ah batteries on this unit. The run time is greatly improved, and it seems to run at a little higher RPM with the bigger pack. Do yourself a favor and order a spare set of the cloth filters. Its a pain to clean the one that comes with it when youre in a hurry. I put the dirty ones in a zip-up lingerie bag and run them through the wash with my towels

> 3 dayI own Makita 120v powered equipment and one battery powered drill, of which is nearing 32 years and still performs well and stored in the original metal carry case. Throughout those years I’ve noticed several tweaks in hand tools by the top producers, and Makita stood with them, if not, led the way. The most significant improvement is the interchangeable portable & rechargeable power platform. Makita rechargeable 18v power packs can be used with over 200 other Makita portable tools without interchange issues and with four levels of ampere hours. With that said, the Makita XLC02ZB vacuum was purchased after several other machines failed to perform within weeks of use. However, keep in mind this vacuum is not a shop vacuum, or for auto detailing, and should not be used as such. If you are seeking a durable handheld vacuum for quick cleanup of light household debris, I highly recommend you consider Makita’s XLC02ZB coupled with a battery & charger starter kit. There is a similar product offered by Makita. The XLC04ZBX4 vacuum tends to be slightly more brutal to debris with 3 speed options and offers locking accessories, which is helpful when fixing the 191D72-1 cyclonic vacuum attachment w/lock and locking extension tubes. Now that the entire assembly looks like a creature from planet Zargon 4X, you’ll be happy to know a full vacuum belly won’t fall off during those pesky bouts with piles of pet fuzz bunnies. If Makita is reading and listening, there is one improvement they should consider for their stick vacuum lineup. The main tank could be designed to lock in place to the power head with simple key-way locks molded into the components in lieu of a twist friction connection, which tends to loosen when in use, and will eventually wear to uselessness, or turn to Duct Tape as a BFF. Just saying…

Greater than one weekgood vacuum suction, not amazing, but more than capable for loose messes on hard flat surfaces, or cleaning up the edges of rooms

> 3 dayDang, I really got the impression that Makita didnt really make this thing. Ive got a ton of cordless products (mostly the 18v stuff) and a bunch of corded stuff from Makita. Why? Cause they work great! and I have never been able to break a Makita product (some of this stuff is going on 20 years old and its been used everyday in brutal work environments!). Ordinarily Makita products really impress and totally exceed expectations --this thing, on the other hand, is just a glorified dust buster IMHO. I expect to pay a higher price for Makita cause it lasts forever and performs flawlessly --Im kinda pissed I paid more for this thing though... YMMV UPDATE: OK, I might have been wrong about this thing but you need the Cyclonic Vacuum Attachment to make it work decent --for me anyway. The attachment will hold much more crud than the base unit and make it much more practical (the stock volume is ridiculously small). Second, its so portable and light that I find Im using it all the time for stairs and any little mess that comes along. In sum, Ive upped this from 2 to 4 stars for ease of use, battery life (just the 3Ah type), and decent volume with the attachment. Still cant give it 5 stars cause its still a little light on sucking power and I really think Makita should either re-design it to hold more volume or include the Cyclonic Attachment with the unit.

> 3 daybought this vacum 2 years ago works good! not for thick or shag carpet great for hard wood tile or any hard suface works good on tight weave carpet perfect for me i dont have any shag style carpet, just wanted to add my review after reading others reviews. this vacum is great for quick clean ups before moping and maintenance! not for deep cleaning on carpets you really need somthing that has a motor driven roller brush for that. the plastic tank does crack and break as i saw on others reviews mine has some cracks. when i saw the cracks i odrered a spare tank for $15.00 havent used it yet but i have it just in case. very easy to use and light wieght beats having to plug in a cord and roll it up you spill you can vacum it up and put the vacum away in a minute or 2 very nice
