good vacuum suction, not amazing, but more than capable for loose messes on hard flat surfaces, or cleaning up the edges of rooms

This is a great little vacuum. I work at a veterinary hospital and we purchased one for hair and toe nail clippings that accumulate all day long. It’s quick and does a great job. I would not recommend it for industrial type use ie: drywall dust, anything damp, etc. the filter will have to be discarded if you use it for that purpose. It also can’t be abused. Get the wall hanger for it because if you stand it up propped against a wall and it crashes to the floor it’s not going to last long. We got the cyclonic attachment because with lots of different folks using it hastily, the filter basket and filter paper cup kept getting pitched accidentally. Now it’s way easier to use and emptying it does not require it to be taken apart. The cup on the cyclonic device just pops off and no filter loss! BTW, the cyclonic device makes the wand about 4 inches longer so better for taller folks. It works well on pet hair and cat litter as there is no roller bar for hair to get tangled around and fling litter all over. I liked it so well I bought one for my house. My only caution is that you should clean it and care for it regularly and the tubes will not take abuse or pressure. It seems pricey for what it is, and I would love to get one at a better price but there just aren’t many cordless vacs with no roller bar feature. I would agree with others that it doesn’t do well on carpet other than very short pile.

For me, this is an outstanding helpful tool that I am thankful for every day! I have wood floors in my house. I have pets. I have two dyson vacuums which I love. But this makes me dance a jig for a few reasons...its cordless, its lightweight, its small, and it is simple. So, we keep this in the laundry room which is next to the kitchen. We also have a battery charger there, and a battery operated Makita blower. I use this little vacuum to clean up dog hair and cat litter and pieces of grass and debris we bring in from our shoes or dog paws. The canister doesnt hold a lot, but for me it is perfect! I dump it into a trash I have in the backyard, and at the same time, I use the Makita blower to blow off the fabric filter because I cant shake the fur/dust off of it. The little fabric filters are easy to accidently throw in the trash while emptying the canister, so be careful. The little filters are well made out of a felt type material...they have a strong stitching and I cant imagine needing to change it very often if you blow it off to clean it. My system may not work for everyone. I can honestly say if I didnt have the little Makita blower right next to it, I wouldnt love this vacuum as much because the filter would have to be changed so often. This machine is not meant to be strong carpet cleaner. Im unsure why they invented it at all....but I love it for my wood floors because I love clean floors and this helps me EASILY keep them vacuumed.

The ultimate test of the battery based vacuum cleaner is the 1) suction power, 2) battery life, 3) charge time and 4) serviceability. 1) The suction power maybe just bit less than the Dyson V6. But, in use the vacuum cleaner has more than enough vacuum for household use. 2) The one charge lasts about 20-30 minutes of off and on run time. The quoted duration is 15 minutes at 100 duty cycle. But, I never had the vacuum on continuously, and I dont think most people would use it that way. I use if mostly to pickup bits of dirt and lints from both wood floor as well as carpeted floor. I have full powered central vacuum which I use when I am in need of cleaning the whole house. So, this is used to do mostly spot cleaning, in between the major battle with the dirt kinds. 3) The included 2.0Ah battery is typically charged to full within about 20 minutes. That is much much quicker than most battery based vacuum cleaners out there. This is definite plus for the Makita. 4) Serviceability. The battery can be purchased separately. I purchased two 4.0Ah battery for Makita. The included charger can charge 4Ah battery. And the battery can be used in any of the Makitas 18V power tools. So, if you have Makita power tool(s), then you can use these batteries on this vacuum. In some other vacuum cleaners, once the battery life wanes, you have no choice but to purchase another (such as Dyson). This external battery is the way to go. So far, I love this vacuum, it is every-ready minutemen ready to bring spotless cleaning at the finger tip. The vacuum is light and useful tool. Compare to other vacuums that I had from Crafsman, Black & Decker, and others, this is definite keeper, the best of the breed.

I can not say enough about this broom /vacume. It has changed my life . Its slightly and small.ot fits anywhere. The auction is unbelievable. Its got super suction . I bring it up and down stairs with ease . The white tile bathroom has never looked better . I can grab it for any little crumb in the kitchen, my kitchen floor had never looked better. I really am so happy I bought this . It works on all types of floors. The dog rips apart her toys and it even picks up all the dog toy fluff . The hairs on the bathroom floor are no match for my Makita.. It is must have

A great little utility vacuum for home, car, office, etc. It tackles the dirt of two teens, two toddlers, a cat, and two busy parents. It charges quick, and is quick to deploy thanks to its mount. The wide angle head is large enough to make this vacuum usable for large carpets, the narrow head gets into tight spots well, and the scrub brush head will pry up stubborn dust. I also like that you can take out the neck tubing to use it (with or without attachments) for small/tight areas. I even use it to suck up fruit flies before releasing them outside. We were struggling to find a vacuum that we liked, and I decided to purchase the Makita because it looked very functional. It ended up being our favorite vacuum cleaner yet, and helps us keep our kitchen and living room clean. It also makes short work of vacuuming a car. The battery charges in 20 minutes, and lasts a good amount of time between charges. We havent noticed issues with cracking, and were pretty rough on things. You do have to clean it from time to time.
