I love this oil. I bought it by mistake thinking that I could cook with it. When it arrived I didnt see on the bottle that it could be consumed so I thought about returning it. Instead I started using it on the dry skin on my legs and I am so happy with the results. It is a great moisturizer. I only need a little bit to moisturize my legs well and it eliminates any itching from dry skin. The bottle is almost empty. I will buy it again.

For cosmetic use only. It has been bleached and the natural scent removed. It is a thicker oil perfect for hair and body. I use it in my whipped body butters and sometimes alone. Texture is nice on the skin and it isnt gritty. I highly recommend avocado oil for cosmetic purposes. I also recommend it for foods but this isnt a food grade oil as its been specifically processed for cosmetic use.

Ive tried just about everything for the eczema I get on my knuckles. My skin gets dry and cracks open, very painful, I think Im allergic to something in most hand soaps. I had just got this for my wife because she was having allergic reactions to coconut oil which is what Ive always used as lotion. I used this on my hands because the Avocado oil stays on my skin, coconut oil seems to just dry up quick. Anyways after a few days my eczema on my hands went away and havent delt with it since.

Avocado oil is my favorite oil for massage and lubrication. You dont have to use very much. A little goes a long way. I also like how it absorbs nicely on the skin. I have been disappointed with almond oil, olive oil, and coconut oil. They do not absorb, just sitting on the surface of the skin. I know oil will make your skin oily, but those oils are just ridiculous, just making your skin feel super oily and not absorbing. Avocado oil, for the skin, is the best in my opinion. Now brand avocado oil is top quality and food grade. I will keep buying from them.

Ill go ahead and say it, Im in peri-menopause. Men, dont run. Its all good. I started noticing last year that my skin wouldnt hold moisture the way it always had. I dont like to use chemical-laden products in my hair, on my skin, and etc., so I opted to try the oil-cleansing technique and ditching soap for my face. I started with NOWs almond oil, a great product if your skin is still problematic but not overly dry. I noticed a huge difference in the tone of my skin and really only had very few pimples (which would have happened no matter what). I loved the quality of the NOW brand and really embraced the almond oil in place of standard skin moisturizers. As this winter progressed, my regular routine wasnt enough to keep from having scaly, itchy skin, a flaky T-zone of all things, and even coconut oil became a staple for me to use. Its oily and doesnt sink in well enough to use and then get dressed for work. And the stuff blowing around outside in the wind (or even my hair) would occasionally get stuck to my coconut-oiled skin. (Its only funny when it doesnt happen to YOU.) I have only had the NOW avocado oil about three days and Im in lovelovelove. Its slightly thicker or less viscous than the almond oil, but wow my skin drank it in and never felt greasy. For a little while, your skin feels like it did, about *cough* years ago. I work outside and the wind has been awful lately, but the avocado oil saved my skin. I had gotten windburn and was really thinking OMG I have lizard skin on my face, and the rest of me was as supple as a corpse. My avocado oil soothed the irritated skin on my face and softened it overnight. Everywhere else I tend to not baby as much as my face and neck, so it took two days to get the rest of me softened up. But Im working outside and I swear the wind robs your moisture through your clothes! I probably couldnt have used such an emollient oil as a teen, but if youre older or just generally prone to dryness, try it out. It makes your skin glow in a way that it would take a $70.00+ jar of chemicals to achieve. It also heals your cuticle issues, and I havent even tried it yet on my parched long locks. I cant be more enthusiastic about this brand or the product. I adore it. And no greasy residue like my beloved coconut oil leaves behind.

I am terribly prone to bad calluses on elbows, knees, even fingers... but especially on my heels. In both summer and winter I get cracked heels that peel and bleed, even if Im vigilant about exfoliation and moisturizing. Yikes, right?! Rubbing on this oil before bed had my nail tech asking what Id been doing differently, and for once I didnt feel like I should apologize for negligent grooming. My elementary-aged daughter has dry skin that gets lizard-like in cold weather or after too much time in the swimming pool. Her blonde hair is also on the dry side and quite tangly. A light application of this oil following her shower solves the dryness for both hair and skin. Love it. I wish the larger (16+ oz) bottles came with a pump top - I added one to mine and it makes things much more convenient.

I am very happy with the NOW Foods Avocado Oil. I purchased it to help maintain healthy skin and I do not plan to cook with it. I typically have oily/dry combination skin with early effects of sun damage. I had acne as a child and still struggle with break outs at times. My skin is very sensitive and will typically get agitated when using products with lots of chemicals and pore clogging agents. Throughout the day I usually go through at least 2 oil blotting sheets to prevent shine on my face. Also, my nose almost always peels and I usually wake up with dry skin flakes on my face. I use the avocado oil at night before going to bed. I wash my face, apply toner and then use the avocado oil on my face, neck and collar bone areas. It is pretty greasy going on and has a strong nutty smell, but it soaks in pretty fast. By morning, my face is smooth and soft with no oil residue. The transformation is pretty amazing. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical, especially because I do not prefer the smell. I am hoping with time, it will help to eliminate fine lines and heal/minimize blemishes. Since using it, I have not noticed dryness anywhere on my face and it appears the excessive oiliness is reducing as well.

This is my first bottle of Avocado oil...but it will not be my last. It is a great oil if you put it on your skin then it does not show up oily. I also use it on my little dog because he gets dry patches and I put this on him and it really helps and he does not get oil on things with this. I am going to start using it on low heat to cook some foods too. Oh and the big reason I got it is because avocado is so healthy for us!!

my skin is finally starting to show its age and my lazy lack of care for the past 47 years. ive never had a cleanser ive particularly loved, and ive never been good about washing my face other than in the shower. i decided to try the oil cleansing method and a clarisonic, and i got this oil after seeing this type recommended on crunchy betty. i LOVE it. i use it on my face (i use apricot-kernel oil for face and body in the shower--no particular reason for the difference except that i wanted to try both kinds of oil because they were recommended for my skin and i keep one bottle in the shower and the other by the sink), a few drops applied to the clarisonic, and my skin feels and looks amazing. because its not messy, smelly, or splashy all over the bathroom, i actually use it pretty much every day, too. never going back to commercial cleansers again.
