First SSD I had was a patriot torqx II then when I built my i7 new build I got a Kingston which was slow but still faster than a HDD. Purchased this Sasmung and was a huge difference in read and write times. the included Magician software has some tweaks that I use to have to do manually with the other drives so having the software to just click and done is nice. really nice SSD and worth every penny.

Used this in a new build with an i5 4690K, Crucial Balliztix Sport 2x8GB and Asus Z97-AR Motherboard. Boot times are pretty ridiculous at about 15 seconds from a cold boot all the way into fully loaded Windows 7 (including post tests and whatnot). I used the Samsung Magician software that came along with it since it takes care of all the Windows settings for that you really should set with an SSD. I got the 250 GB, but the 500 GB is only $65 more so hindsight yet again makes me look like a fool. Oh well, I still love the drive.

Had to replace my hard drive in my Mac Mini. Wanted to upgrade to a SSD since I had a faulty drive (out of warranty of course). This was easy to install (within reason of course.. Mac Minis arent the easiest to change out drives now) and is so much faster than the standard moving parts drive I had before. I only use my Mac Mini for an iTunes server, so I cant really tell you any speed changes other than startup is super quick. Im super satisfied with this purchase.

Fantastic. I have a 2008 unibody Macbook and have been performing some tune-ups to keep the thing running smooth. I moved my HDD to where the CD drive was and put this bad boy in place of the HDD. I ordered the 250GB and my computer runs SO much faster. Day and night difference, not to mention the fact that the computer is silent now. I am no longer hesitant to shut my computer down after using it because it boots up so quickly. In the past I used to just keep the thing running always because I didnt want to have to wait for it to boot up. Definitely recommend the upgrade, particularly if you are contemplating upgrading your computer because your current one is running slow.

Got this to breathe some life into an aluminum unibody Late 2008 Macbook. Replaced the original Toshiba 120GB 5400rpm drive that was running the latest OSX El Capitan with 4GB RAM. I used a Sabrent cable to connect via USB and Carbon Copy to clone the original drive, tested by booting from the USB attached drive then just swapped out the drives in the lap top. Everything went smoothly and it has helped performance. My basic tests for timing were: boot up from scratch before = 2:15, after = 1:30 (not the great improvement here I was looking for, but still better) but for some programs: Word 2008 before = 1:30, after = 10 seconds (HUGE improvement here ... I hate Word but necessary evil this case), Safari before = 8 seconds, after = 4 seconds. Using Black Magic to test disk I/O: Before - read and write both around or slightly below 50MB/sec ... After - read = 267MB/sec, write = 195MB/sec. Huge improvement here, not the max this SSD is capable of but as fast as the older Macbook controller will allow apparently. All in all, a great upgrade that made an old late 2008 Macbook that was becoming unbearably slow become usable again.

Perfect. Easy to clone my old mechanical drive to this one. Much faster. No issues.

Used This Drive to replace the failing HDD on my 6yr old Core i7 Asus Laptop. The Boot times are AMAZING. Power on to ready in 30 seconds or so! Im still amazed by that. Breathed even more life into an already quick PC. Its Tablet/Cellphone fast now! I havent had it long enough to talk about its longevity. ill update if something happens. And time will tell if 250 gb is enough for me anymore. Overall im pleased and would recommend
