great ssd. when I first got it and tested it I was getting very slow speeds the pic with 200 something speed. then I read a review here saying they were selling defected units and it scared the s$#t out of me. but after a few googling Googles I found out that I was connecting it through a sata 2 connection not a sata 3. I connected it using a SATA 3 connection and got the results in the pic with 500 something speeds. then I downloaded the Samsung magician and enabled rapid mode and I got the speeds in the pic with 2600 something. I know that the rapid mode doesnt increase the speed of all tasks but holy s$#t thats good (there is a video of how fast my pc boots up now)

I was using the 240GB model, and after installing 2-3 games on it, space was tight. So I got this and space is good, good load times :)

The Samsung SSD drive is sooo much faster than my old disk drive. Its really to install so long as you download the migration software from Samsungs website.

I replace my wifes laptop drive with this. Its basically like a new computer. It used to bog down literally for hours on Windows Updates - they now take about 5 minutes max. Booting is quick, programs load rapidly and the machine just feels fast. Cloning and replacing the old one was a bit of a process, but actually went pretty smoothly. Samsungs cloning software works quite well. The hardest part was getting the laptop (a certain ubiquitous brand) taken apart - something of a hair-puller. Just be aware that its a task, though worth every bit of effort.

So Far, works good. A small problem formatting to 4GB in 64 Bit Windows 10. But with help, got it working with all 4GB. Only 1 month old but works and is fast. A little pricey but Amazon allows for several months payout with no interest. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AMAZON!

I used about a dozen of these as boot drives on workstations. they do the job, booting Windows 7 to the login screen in about 10 seconds.

Great storage bought for great savings over holidays. Great for media storage and faster than a spinner but this is NOT a fast access high performance drive.

Great storage capacity and speed enhancement upgrade. Installation was seamless with Samsung software.

It used to be that adding RAM was the easiest and cheapest way to speed up a slow computer. That never addressed the real bottleneck of a computer, which is the hard drive. I had a customer complaining that they probably needed a new computer even though theirs was only a little over a year old. Knowing that they had a standard platter-style hard drive, I suggested this. Boy is she glad that I did! Saved her hundreds of dollars on a new computer and likely thousands on lost time waiting for her computer to compute as her entire business relies on her computer to make her money.
