The T7 1TB SSD wouldnt mount on my older MacBook Pro. No show in Disk Utilities, not at all. These older MBPs only supply 500 mA to non-Apple accessories whereas the T7 specs call for connection to a 1500 mA capable USB 3.2 source. I solved this and got the T7 to work as expected by using an external USB hub with a power connector. Then the T7 mounted and transferred data at high speed (500 MBps rated on the USB 3 SuperSpeed connection). And once recognized. no hub was needed for subsequent connection, the T7 mounts normally.

I was amazed by the size of the drive... Extremely small and highly portable. The transfer speed was outstanding. Im thinking of purchasing another one.

This device is connected to my new I Mac as the Time Machine backup. It has more than enough space yet is very small. It’s easy to use and configure once connected ready to backup all data. No moving parts and doesn’t get hot. Great product from Samsung

I have a T5, and thought to upgrade to this T7 with the best intentions. However, this little unit gets verrrry hot, and Im not even kidding. I put a desk fan on it because I was concerned. My T5 stays cool as a cucumber, but this T7 over-heats, and is clearly a flawed design. Ive seen other reviews that mention this, but I disregarded to see for myself. But trust me, this gets too hot for a SSD. [Returned]

I use the SSD for backup of my music server (Roon Rock). I own a few Samsung portable SSDs and there are all reliable and very fast. Trusted brand and technology. The pricing on the 2Tb model was very good and highly recommended.

I was looking for a Solid State large capacity unit (have too many flash drives). This drive provided a capacity which will take some time to fill up. It is small enough to put in a shirt pocket (size of a credit card). Recommend for those who take work home with them.

This thing is awesome, Our PS4 slim runs noticably better and this little thing holds so much stuff! It doesnt hold save data but who cares?! It holds the whole damn game that you download, examples are Skyrim, Fallout, Nioh 2. Very demanding games for a console that is a slim and not a pro but this thing saved us, no need to get a second console like we contemplated! I recommend this for sure, if you are a famer but cant afford super expensive console upgrades or items to extend space this is the one!
