> 3 dayThis is my go-to drive to bridge media files between totally different types of devices. This is so useful because it can be used with so many different gadgets. Among those reported to work include: Windows, MacOS, Linux, ps4, ps5, iPhone and iPad (with lightning camera adapter), Android, Samsung phones, iMac, Macbook, Amazon Fire tablet, Xbox, USB ports on smart TVs, aux storage on cable boxes, old computers that have USB 2.0, and others. In fact its hard to find something that this external drive doesnt work with.

22-12-2024Here is the solution that I use to store all of my PS4 digital games for use on my PS5. I attach this to the fastest front USB port on my PS5. The PS5 easily recognizes it. Games load quickly to play directly from it and I have never had a single error or crash in more than a year of use.

> 3 dayI love the concept of a portable drive and expected the Red T7 to perform as advertised, as all my other Samsung SSD drives perform. My disappointment occurred when seeing repeated read/write speeds both around 44/34 MB/s respectively using Samsung Magic software tool and also seen when writing files to SSD.

> 3 dayI bought this with the intent to use on my PC and my Chromebook. I travel with my Chromebook so I needed something light to travel with for my external drive. I bough this because I own many Samsung products with the exception of my Chromebook. This works great with a PC, but remains in a read only in Chromebook. Not sure if I should return this.

> 3 dayIt’s max write speed is 40mp/s took over a hour to copy 100gb to it. It’s write speed ranges from 40mb/s to 1mb/s averages around 15mb/s this is almost 66 times slower than what’s advertised. I bought this thinking it would be quick and a easy backup solution for game development. This drive can store your data but takes extremely long to put anything on it. You should probably look at any other options. Even a old windows pc using a hard disk writes faster at 80mb/s to 160mb/s. I have tried several fix’s like using different usb port or checking for updates all have failed and I’m disappointed in this product.
