> 3 dayUnfortunately, I dropped my SSD on several occasions but it’s still going strong. I’ve been using it with a MacBook Air 2020 to run apps externally and perform other operations. It’s really fast, never really overheats in my opinion and it’s made my work easier. I just advice that you buy one with the right storage and you should be good to go

> 3 dayI bought this drive to serve as a bootable recovery drive for my Mac Power Book Pro laptop. It ships with two connecting cables so that you can connect it to either a USB C port or a standard USB port. With TechTools Pro 13 I was able to quickly create the specialized recovery drive and that drive works (the computer will boot from it and one can use the TechTools Pro utilities to diagnose the computer and the computers internal bootable drive.

> 3 dayAfter reading other reviews of the T7 (and owning 4 T5s (0.5 TB, 1TB, 2x 2TB), I was a bit hesitant to try this drive. Because I built my PC 6 years ago, it doesnt have USB-C connections, so I wasnt expecting the full advertised speed. But the speed test I ran performed as well as the T5 is rated for, and so Im happy with the speed of the drive. The T7 is a few mm longer than the T5, but seems to be the same thickness and width. With mine, Ive seen no overheating, and no high CPU, memory, or GPU use associated with the T7s use. Love it!

> 3 dayI bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. He need to transfer 5000+ songs and other game files from his really old PC to secure storage. He plugged in the unit to his old laptop and very simply dragged/dropped all his files to the external storage unit. I bought the 1TB one and it will last a long time. Plenty of storage left on it. It also comes with a separate case you can buy but I did not buy it.

Greater than one weekGood if youre brielfy plugging it in and transferring small files. It gets EXTREMELY hot otherwise and Ive had the same problem with my second T7. Better off buying a different brand of SSD.

> 3 dayI tried to partition this drive in order to be able to backup two time machines. The partition symbol stayed grey. It turns out that you have to download some sort of software from samsung to do this. I was never able to find the actual software.
