> 3 dayThis is my first cordless and so far it’s great! Takes some patience learning how to set up and clean. A little more expensive than I expected but I’ve been waiting for the chance to get a hair free roller and a longer run battery and this beauty delivers.

> 3 dayThis is my first cordless vacuum and I will never go back to a cord!! Wow it is SO EASY to maneuver, the vacuum head will turn/pivot easily to make hard to reach angles accessible to vacuum. I read some reviews about the attachments not being included and I received all of my attachments. Nothing was missing and I can’t wait to use them to clean my car and baseboards!

> 3 dayThis as got to be the best money spent in a long time! Even my 28 year old daughter agrees with me, she uses more than I do and she tells me almost every time she uses it that it was money well spent. She even shows me something new she finds out about it every time too lol! Like the button she found on how to take the canister off to empty it with taking the whole top of the vacuum off, and how to remove the head of the vacuum, it’s a new toy we get to play with every time we vacuum, and it’s like we love to vacuum now, I mean we have dogs so you know they shed a lot and now we look for their fur on the floor - no seriously we do and we’re like…”Oh look we need to vacuum there’s fur on the floor!” or “ Hey ya know I happen to think I haven’t vacuumed behind the range or the fridge in like forever OR my closet!!” Seriously we have gone crazy with this thing! When I say we love, I mean WE LOVE IT! Oh and I almost to mention…the batteries - they seem to do really well at keeping up with us. I mean my daughter said she will vacuum the kitchen and the living room and hallway and still have battery life to spare, and remember we’re chasing a lot of fuz and fur here so that’s a plus to us!! The only thing is it is a little on the heavy side, I mean it’s not crazy heavy but after vacuuming for a few minutes it starts to get a little heavy.

> 3 dayTL; DR: This Shark vacuum sucks, and not the way you want it to. I already put it back in the box to return it for a Dyson. I would NOT recommend this vacuum to anyone, friend or foe. I bought this Shark Vertex Cordless to replace our old, dying Dyson V6 Animal Cordless. I read many reviews and watched a ton of YouTube videos comparing vacuums when I started looking for a new vacuum. I had a Shark Navigator Pro before the Dyson, and I know Shark makes a good, powerful vacuum, so I was excited to try this new model and technology. Basing my opinion of using the vacuum on having used a Dyson for the last 4-5 years, I was more than disappointed with the Shark Vertex. The Shark Vertex seemed like it was great. It went together easily and the crevice tool did well between the couch cushions and around the edges of the house. I liked the flexible arm that let the vacuum bend to get really far under furniture like my tables and sideboards. It was easy to empty the canister and easy to use. Thats all of the pros. After using the vacuum around the house for about 30 minutes, a clog developed in the first joint of the vacuum, which is the joint that takes the dirt from the head into the tube to take it up to the canister. This clog (half of which is pictured; my husband grabbed and threw out the first half before I could get it all done) was so big it extended from the opening of the vacuum suction hole on the bottom of the motorized head, all the way up to where the head attached to the main long arm. I grabbed a pair of tweezers to grip the clog and pull it out, but that didnt work. Then I got the screwdriver to try and pull it out, but only got the initial portion of the clog out that way. After looking into the vacuum heads mechanics, I found that there are three lock screws on the underneath that allow you to take off the bottom guard piece to access the suction tube, which means Shark knew this was a problem and they fixed it by giving more work for the consumer to do. After removing the thin little bottom guard piece, I was able to use a cat wand toy to shove through the bottom to push the clog out the other side. This mess pictured on my couch was the result. And after all that, I still had to put the vacuum back together to finish vacuuming up all the dirt and hair mess that the vacuum made. As someone who has severe dust and environmental allergies, I dont exactly want to play with clogs of my allergens in order to get my vacuum running. I also have a large house, two long haired Siberian cats, four teenagers, and a job. The LAST THING I have time for is housework and messing around with crappy vacuums. For the price point, Id expect this vacuum to actually work properly, and not take a ton of work to use it. The entire thing felt wobbly when fully connected and used to vacuum floors, so I didnt see the expected excellent quality of materials or workmanship for the price point either. Furthermore, as several reviewers stated (and I dismissed as being overly sensitive), the vacuum did shock me multiple times with static electricity buildup, even though I was carrying my metal cell phone to try to help discharge the shock. I live in New Hampshire, and yes, it is dry during the winter and something Ive come to expect is shocks from static charges, which is why I dismissed others concerns about the shocks. However I quickly became aware that they werent overstating their issues, it was very annoying. Another con to this vacuum is that when I was vacuuming my couch where the cats lay, it wouldnt pick up all the cat fur regardless of how many passes I made. The suction just wasnt powerful enough, or maybe the static buildup offset the suction, gluing the cat hair to the couch in dreadlocked strands. Besides all this, the vacuum was very heavy and bulky, and I didnt like it almost immediately after I started using it. Im not the best housekeeper as a busy mom with depression, and our Dyson battery wasnt holding a charge anymore and the unit was on its last legs as it was beat pretty hard during daily use so it wasnt performing up to par. So maybe there was just a larger than normal buildup of dirt and cat hair that made the clog inevitable, but honestly I have enough to deal with, and for $350 I expect a vacuum to just WORK. I buy vacuums to make my life easier, otherwise Id just sweep the floors and take my rugs outside to beat them like they did in 1889. This thing will be going back to Amazon tomorrow, and Ill be placing my order for the Dyson V11 Animal. Id rather pay twice as much and know for a fact that my vacuum will work when I need it to, how I need it to. Save yourself the headache and dont get this Shark Vertex Cordless vacuum.

Greater than one weekThis vacuum is AMAZING compared to my Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners. I love that I can see the percentage of battery life I have left. I love that I have two batteries that I can easily change as I need to. The swivel floor head is awesome and this thing cleans so well!! I am so impressed with this vacuum that I want to give my Dysons away and order a second one of these so that each floor of my home has one. However, I think I will wait a bit in hopes that Shark changes this design a little. Here is what I hate about this vacuum... Its very top-heavy. It will not stand upright on its own at all. So if you are vacuuming and what to pause to move something out of the way, you have to lay this down on the ground. This is very annoying. I thought I would like that this folds down to save space but I actually hate it and hope this will change in the future. I have used my vacuum for about two weeks and already a piece is falling off and getting caught up in the roller. In addition the little wheels get filled with hair and fibers and its very difficult to clean these out. I reached out to customer service about the rubber piece falling off and they stated this is NOT covered under warranty, only the motor is. They cant replace just the rubber piece that they would have to replace the entire head unit. Since its not covered under their warranty (regardless that I just purchased it less than 2 weeks ago) they would only replace it as a one-time courtesy. If something breaks again, it would not be free to fix/replace since I would be using my one-time pass. Already, I dislike Sharks customer service/warranty policy - especially considering the price we pay for this item! Luckily Amazon has outstanding customer service and they did replace this for me.

> 3 dayI bought this after a lot of research and consideration of other brands. I couldnt justify 800 bucks for a Dyson, but I also know that a vacuum that costs 150 bucks doesnt last. I needed something that is versatile and can quickly switch from laminate to carpet without a lot of fuss. I wanted something cordless so I could go through the whole house quickly without having to switch outlets or worry about keeping the cord out of the way of my path. The ability to clean up hair was an absolute imperative as I have a Husky and a Corgi that are constantly shedding. Cleaning the hair off of every surface has become a nightmare chore that is impossible to stay on top of. Now, let me tell you, that my house is in no way filthy, but after using this vacuum on my rug, that was just vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner a couple of days ago, it sure felt like I was living in squalor before. This stick vac pulled hair and dirt from the carpet that I thought was clean! I was ASTOUNDED by how much dirt and hair that was still there. This product easily converts to make vacuuming stairs and those hard to reach areas a simple task. The included attachments are very good at getting the hair and dust from the couch cushions and it is very compact and takes up very little storage space. I have read other reviews that it builds up a rather unpleasant static shock after a few minutes of use. I have not experienced any sort of shock or static build up. The only reason that I didnt give this product 5 stars is because there isnt any storage for the attachments, and with 2 kids, I know that they are going to get lost easily. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants the convenience of a powerful cordless vacuum, without the high cost of a Dyson.

> 3 dayMy dog is a papillion. Vacuum worked very well until my dog hairs tightened around the smallest wheels. The vacuum no longer slides easily across my rugs due to the inability to completely remove tightened hairs. The wheels are extremely tiny and require tweezers to remove the dog hairs. I would have given the vacuum a higher rating but I need to remove the dog hairs every time I vacuum. If a customer representative would like to reach out with a solution please contact me.

> 3 dayWorks well! Light weight. Worth the money. To my surprise this works quite well, my husband has the vacuum Notsi and he loves us and says it works great! My only downfall is for some reason I thought it would mount on the wall. But it’s a much cheaper version of the Dyson and worth it!

> 3 dayAs I’m still using this vacuum, it’s wonderful for the floors, quite. It did take me awhile to figure how to unfold to make upright. Nice that you can disconnect the battery from the vacuum and charge elsewhere. Because the battery is close to the handle of the vacuum, it’s heavy, even on low rug setting it still sucks up my area rugs and will suck up cat/dog toys with no problems. Make sure they are all picked up. I feel even though it was not great for my area rugs, I still like it to use on my floors, and you can get under chairs, bed etc.
