> 24 hourI was a little skeptical about getting a cordless vacuum. My husband was the one that persuaded me to but it because we live in an older house with minimal outlets....so we are always unplugging something to plug in the vacuum. I am so glad he suggested this!!!! We did the research first...dyson vs shark. Was the price difference really worth the $$? I decided to get this shark for a few reasons. 1. removable battery- you can plug it in anywhere and store the vacuum out of sight. 2. attachments that came with it- we have a cat and dog....we clean often and the attachments that came with this make it easy to clean those hard to get (and forgotten) places like ceiling fans, behind doors, and under furniture. 3. it folds down for easier storage- our shark upright plug in vacuum is sometimes difficult to get out of the hall closet with all the coats hanging because the handle gets caught by a sleeve or something. This vacuum handle folds down to store easily under all those hanging coats. 4. lightweight to take up and down the stairs and light enough our 6yr old can use it and maneuver it easily 3. price point was in a reasonable range. The ONLY negative I have found is that the dirt compartment is kind of small......it holds about as much dirt as our Roomba. We have to empty it a lot more often than we do the corded vacuum. Its not that big of a deal but still somewhat annoying.

> 24 hourI ordered this vacuum and after a few uses, the vertex stick broke and wouldnt allow the vacuum to be unfolded in order to actually use it. I called shark ninja and they were mostly helpful. It was about $60 to get a new one as its not a covered part in their warranty. the power is decent for a cordless stick vacuum but the selling point for me is that i can fold this vacuum up and store it under a cabinet. thats something i cant do with my giant kirby

> 24 hourThis as got to be the best money spent in a long time! Even my 28 year old daughter agrees with me, she uses more than I do and she tells me almost every time she uses it that it was money well spent. She even shows me something new she finds out about it every time too lol! Like the button she found on how to take the canister off to empty it with taking the whole top of the vacuum off, and how to remove the head of the vacuum, it’s a new toy we get to play with every time we vacuum, and it’s like we love to vacuum now, I mean we have dogs so you know they shed a lot and now we look for their fur on the floor - no seriously we do and we’re like…”Oh look we need to vacuum there’s fur on the floor!” or “ Hey ya know I happen to think I haven’t vacuumed behind the range or the fridge in like forever OR my closet!!” Seriously we have gone crazy with this thing! When I say we love, I mean WE LOVE IT! Oh and I almost to mention…the batteries - they seem to do really well at keeping up with us. I mean my daughter said she will vacuum the kitchen and the living room and hallway and still have battery life to spare, and remember we’re chasing a lot of fuz and fur here so that’s a plus to us!! The only thing is it is a little on the heavy side, I mean it’s not crazy heavy but after vacuuming for a few minutes it starts to get a little heavy.

> 24 hourI would recommend it for anyone who wants to go cordless but doesnt want to pay the price for a Dyson. Pros: Works great on tile and wood. Love the bending feature for going under tables and chairs. Good on carpet and rugs if you vacuum regularly. Beater doesnt tangle with dog hair as advertised! Going cordless is great and is a time saver. Battery life is fine but we divide the chore - upstairs one day, downstairs another day. Cons: Will not stand up with battery connected-if you need to pause to move something you will have to lean it against something or lay it down. This is an annoyance that I can live with. 3 hours to fully charge battery. If you have a large area that uses the whole charge it would make sense to buy an extra battery just like you would for any cordless tool.

> 24 hourI have a powered Shark and I love it. This cordless model is ok. I don’t get the hype with these cordless vacuums… It does pick up ok on the Med speed but I find it misses some stuff that my powered Shark would not. I find I have to use the high power to get it to pick it up (and that drains the battery VERY fast). I don’t like the feel off the vacuum. It doesn’t run smoothly (I suspect it’s the fins underneath causing this). I have to make sure to vacuum in certain directions to get the vacuum to work best. Also after vacuuming my carpet, it just doesn’t look vacuumed. I am used to seeing vacuum lines in my carpet and there is none. Those lines imo meant the suction was good. I NEVER see vacuum lines after using this cordless vacuum. It does pick up stuff because I do have to empty the bin- but I just don’t think these cordless vacuums do as good a job as a plug in vacuum. It’s a shame as I like the portability, the lightness and compactness of the vacuum. I think it would work better on tile/wood floors. Now let’s talk about the battery charge… a HUGE selling point for me was the addition of a second battery and the ability to remove it to charge. I would NEVER recommend anyone not having a second battery when purchasing ANY cordless vacuum. The battery runs out pretty quick esp if you use the highest power setting. That setting really should only be used once in a while as it drains the battery VERY quickly. I use the med setting only (low setting is a waste of time imo) and occasionally the high. I use a battery and a 1/2 for about 1200 Sq foot. If I only had 1 battery I would have to wait 2-3 hours for it to recharge to finish my home. The things I like about this vacuum was the attachments, extra battery, method of charging and how compact it is. I also like that I can vacuum under my couch because of how compact it is. This vacuum can also be used as a hand held- because of the attachments it can be used to vacuum ur car (if you live where there is no power outlet access, like and apartment, this will be great). The thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t stand up on its own when the battery is on which can be annoying. I kept the vacuum but will still hang on to my powered vacuum. I was really hoping to replace my larger plug in vacuum with this. Just one more thing to take up space….

> 24 hourPro: Battery life is long enough to vac 14ft X 70ft (980 square feet) moble home. It takes up little space to store in a closet. I vacuum every few weeks and owed vac for 6 months. The inner filter looks brand new! The prep filters absorbs just about everything. I keep my dog trimmed. The vac picks up all trimmed hair. (Sorry I cant evaluate long matted pet hair due to shedding in carpets and sofas.) The power burst feature is a smart idea. It will pick small debris that regular setting missses. You pull a trigger to increase and decrease suction as needed. Battery can be detached and charged separately from unit. You can purchase extra batteries and have them changed in advance of use. It comes with the normal frequently used attachments. You can purchase other attachments separately from shark. Lights do help in darker spaces. The canister is larger than most stick vacs, but I do have to empty during a single use. I didnt buy this as a supplemental vac to an upright. I bought this instead of an upright. Con: The hardwood floor feature is useless. It doesnt pick up hardly anything. Use the carpet setting on hardwood and you will be fine. Paying $50 more to get 10 mins of extra run time is stupid. Buy and extra battery for $63. The attachments and stick are D shapped. If you want more attachments, you are basically forced to buy from shark due to shape. There is less suction than a normal upright, but to be fair it is good enough.

> 24 hourAs I’m still using this vacuum, it’s wonderful for the floors, quite. It did take me awhile to figure how to unfold to make upright. Nice that you can disconnect the battery from the vacuum and charge elsewhere. Because the battery is close to the handle of the vacuum, it’s heavy, even on low rug setting it still sucks up my area rugs and will suck up cat/dog toys with no problems. Make sure they are all picked up. I feel even though it was not great for my area rugs, I still like it to use on my floors, and you can get under chairs, bed etc.
