> 24 hourLove the ease of using this - wish I had bought one a long time ago! Because its a Shark, I know that its doing a great job! I feel like my house is SO MUCH CLEANER with this around - easy to grab and go for a quick touch up. Love that I can transition from hard floor to low carpet with switching a button and you can hear and see the power it has! Love the light on the front - helps me see what Im cleaning up! The broom and dustpan ARE GONE! I realize now how much dirt and dust and dog hair they were leaving behind. (yuck the first time I used the Shark and the light showed me all that - AND I CLEAN, but it didnt look like it THAT day.) 10 stars for me!

> 24 hourMy wife and I really wanted a cordless vacuum and quickly realized how expensive they all are. We took about two months to compare all of the various options that are on the market right now as well as visiting all the major retailers to see vacuums up close. After careful consideration, we went with the Shark IZ682H. For the price and options, it was just the best deal. This vacuum comes with two batteries and as you can see in my picture, it folds up quickly for storage. Our house is about 50% carpet and 50% hardwood. This vacuum switches between the two surfaces very easily and also handles the stairs very well. I was astonished at how quiet it was in the low setting and how much it actually sucks up. I figured it would almost always need to be run on the turbo setting which is a bit louder. I also figured because it would be in turbo mode most of the time, it would eat through the battery life and that was another reason I wanted the extra battery. So far one battery has held out just fine despite being used in our 3,700 sqft house. Again this is primarily on the low setting as we have not had to use the high setting very often. If I had to come up with a negative, it is the weight. It really is not an issue and compared to the corded version of the vacuum it is about the same. In reality, if I had to choose between the performance and ease of use this vacuum has or its weight, I will gladly deal with the few extra ounces in weight. My overall opinion of this vacuum is that it is pretty amazing. It is easy to maneuver in, under, and around furniture. It performs like a champ and is easy to store. I dont think after using this that I could ever go back to a corded vacuum again.

> 24 hourMy husband does the vacuuming in our condo and he NOW is very pleased with this one. He gave it a 3star because about a month after the purchase one back wheel started with a clicking sound. This did not affect the performance of the vacuum but the noise was annoying. On close examination we could see that a screw was sticking out and hitting the plastic inside frame of the wheel. This also caused the wheel to occasionally drag on the floor. He called Shark support and they would not replace the part but did offer to replace the bottom portion of the vacuum at our cost of $40. Feeling we had already paid a lot for this vacuum we did not want to pay more. So we chiseled out the plastic portion of the wheel that was hitting the screw. The wheel now turns silently! We hope this solves our issue. We truly are disappointed that Shark did not back the poor workmanship of the wheel. Thus the 3 star review... As far as the Shark itself- it is a wonderful sweeper. Being cordless makes it so much easier to move it around our condo. It does an excellent job of picking up dust/debris and the handle folds down so that sweeping under furniture is easy. If the problem with the wheel returns or begins with the other wheel we will get back and add to this review.

> 24 hourI’ve never spent this kind of money on a vacuum, especially something that’s considered a stick vac. I did my research and settled on this because of the dual power fins, hardwood roller and the tangle resistance. First I’ll list what I like. Likes: - No tangles. It actually works. - Able to get under things b/c handle breaks down - Pivot head - Ease of use (carpet, floors, power boost selectors) - Completely sealed HEPA system - Easy to clean Now here are the things I don’t like. They may be more, but don’t let it detour you. The vacuum does actually work well. Things I don’t like: - The canister is heavy. It’s not easy to do above the head operation or anything that doesn’t have support. - The battery doesn’t last long. Especially on carpet. It definitely requires two charges for a 2,500 house. Half hardwood, half carpet. - Canister fills quickly b/c it actually works. It will pick up stuff you never knew was there. - It’s loud and sounds/feels cheap. Dual Power fins seem like they will wear quickly and unlikely you can find a replacement roller from what I’ve seen. At least with the brushes and fin combo. Overall I like it. I just wish it was a bit more balanced and refined.

> 24 hourWe originally bought this vacuum last year because I needed something for hard floors and carpeted stairs without a cord after my Electrolux vacuum motorhead busted. I had read good reviews on the Shark VERTEX and after meticulously researching what I need, durability vs. what I can afford we decided on this vacuum. We are a family of 4 relatively messy people, including a toddler so I vacuum daily and need something with good suction power. We have no pets so at the time, pet hair was not an issue. Fast forward a year when we were forced to move and our housing circumstances changed, we are in a house with mostly tile but with carpeted bedrooms and no stairs. We also have three cars so being able to vacuum them easily is a must. let me first start off my telling you what this vacuum isnt! THE CONS: It lacks suction power for basic automobile use. The attachments that it came with dont provide a good angle in small spaces making it really difficult to use. This vacuum requires a bit of maintenece and the Shark fins are NOT durable. Like I mentioned before I have two messy kids so as you can imagine I find all kinds of things on the floor and this vacuum is not up to task for larger objects such as Cotton swabs, Crayons etc...they get caught under the brush-roll and have ripped up the shark fins. I realize this is a wareable feature and is not covered under warranty, but with how easily they fell apart, SHARK needs to work on that for future models. It does pick up a lot of fine dust, but since we moved into a house that the previous family had a DOG, I find myself even almost 6 months later still filling the dust cup when I vacuum the carpet with copious amounts of dog hair and dander. THIS is what made me decide to go back to a full sized vacuum. We bought a SHARK ZU782 and with the amount that this vacuum has picked up over the last day since we bought it, Ive decided my voice needs to be heard loud and clear. The Shark VERTEX cordless is NOT capable of the deep cleaning that carpet needs. It actually makes your carpets look worse compared to a full sized vacuum. Its only capable on hard floors, nothing more. OK SO the PLUSES or the PROs: It has a good battery life for a cordless. I am able to vacuum about 1,000 square feet of hard floor before it dies. It has met my needs in this way for both houses. Portable, easily storable and compact. It can easily be kept in a closet or small space if needed. It sure can take a beating. Its fallen on the floor a multitude of times and nothing has broken or cracked on this machine. Dust filters are easily washable (buy a second set if you need something readily available while the other two are drying) It has a closed system. Important for people that suffer from allergies including myself! It does a good job on hard floors, does not spray crumbs everywhere like other vacuums! SO all in all I gave this vacuum 3 stars, but ultimately this vacuum is going into the closet as a backup vac. We switched back to a full sized SHARK DUOCLEAN and are so far happier with its cleaning capabilities.

> 24 hourI have a mobility problem and tend to pretty much live in my recliner. The result of this is a zone of ick around the chair. This item really SUCKS crap off the floor, and is light enough for me to use.

> 24 hourI purchased the Shark IZ462H Vertex Ultra Lightweight Cordless Stick Vacuum about 2 weeks ago. I did a lot of research on cordless vacuums and I chose the Shark because of its generally good reviews, and an in-depth review by an evaluator who used the vacuum for multiple days who gave it high marks. I am very pleased with the vacuum because it’s does what I need but there are limitations (this won’t replace my Dyson Animal, but I hope to use that far less). For me, my primary interest is to use the Shark daily on one floor of the house to tidy up the loose hair from our five short hair dogs. It does this wonderfully. Easy to use, light, no cord, gets under furniture, not at all bulky like the Dyson, runs for at least 30 minutes using the normal setting, and does an excellent job in capturing the hair and other dirt particles. We have no carpet in the house except for runners. The vacuum does well on the carpet as well but the vacuum head setting for carpet uses more power (there are two settings; one for hard floors and one for carpet). I am not sure I would rely on the Shark if I had a lot of carpet because I suspect the useful battery time would diminish. However, one could buy another battery (they change out quickly) to make the vacuum more useful. The vacuum also has attachments which are useful but somewhat limited in that the brush attachment doesn’t have a 360 adjustment like other vacuums. The vacuum is easy to empty but it doesn’t hold a tremendous amount of dirt but it is adequate. I will take the ease of handling and lighter weight over a larger dirt capacity of a heavier and bulkier vacuum. One feature I really appreciate with this Shark is the ability to release a pivot hinge in the middle of the vacuum main tube in order to get under furniture easily. This is a super feature and works extremely well. This alone is almost worth the price of the vacuum. The vacuum also has a boost setting that increases the amount of vacuum provided but I haven’t used it much except to try it to see what it provides. One last point, a major and well respected independent non-profit product review organization would not make any recommendations for cordless vacuums due to their limitations and uncertain reliability. The Shark comes with a five year limited guarantee and I purchased an additional guarantee from Amazon to supplement the manufacturers guarantee. So, hopefully[p] I am covered if the Shark dies a premature death. In summary I give the Shark 5 stars because it meets my need and I think it does exactly what it is designed to do at a reasonable price.

> 24 hourIve had this vacuum for several months and I love it! I have two cats and two dogs, one of whom sheds terribly, so the vacuum has its work cut out for it and its amazing. So easy to maneuver around furniture and low profile so it goes under things easily. Hair, etc. does get caught in the small wheels but doesnt affect the functionality at all. It is top-heavy because of the dust collection etc. but once you get used to it, its not a problem. I would highly recommend!

> 24 hourThis vacuum is AMAZING compared to my Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners. I love that I can see the percentage of battery life I have left. I love that I have two batteries that I can easily change as I need to. The swivel floor head is awesome and this thing cleans so well!! I am so impressed with this vacuum that I want to give my Dysons away and order a second one of these so that each floor of my home has one. However, I think I will wait a bit in hopes that Shark changes this design a little. Here is what I hate about this vacuum... Its very top-heavy. It will not stand upright on its own at all. So if you are vacuuming and what to pause to move something out of the way, you have to lay this down on the ground. This is very annoying. I thought I would like that this folds down to save space but I actually hate it and hope this will change in the future. I have used my vacuum for about two weeks and already a piece is falling off and getting caught up in the roller. In addition the little wheels get filled with hair and fibers and its very difficult to clean these out. I reached out to customer service about the rubber piece falling off and they stated this is NOT covered under warranty, only the motor is. They cant replace just the rubber piece that they would have to replace the entire head unit. Since its not covered under their warranty (regardless that I just purchased it less than 2 weeks ago) they would only replace it as a one-time courtesy. If something breaks again, it would not be free to fix/replace since I would be using my one-time pass. Already, I dislike Sharks customer service/warranty policy - especially considering the price we pay for this item! Luckily Amazon has outstanding customer service and they did replace this for me.

> 24 hourPro: Battery life is long enough to vac 14ft X 70ft (980 square feet) moble home. It takes up little space to store in a closet. I vacuum every few weeks and owed vac for 6 months. The inner filter looks brand new! The prep filters absorbs just about everything. I keep my dog trimmed. The vac picks up all trimmed hair. (Sorry I cant evaluate long matted pet hair due to shedding in carpets and sofas.) The power burst feature is a smart idea. It will pick small debris that regular setting missses. You pull a trigger to increase and decrease suction as needed. Battery can be detached and charged separately from unit. You can purchase extra batteries and have them changed in advance of use. It comes with the normal frequently used attachments. You can purchase other attachments separately from shark. Lights do help in darker spaces. The canister is larger than most stick vacs, but I do have to empty during a single use. I didnt buy this as a supplemental vac to an upright. I bought this instead of an upright. Con: The hardwood floor feature is useless. It doesnt pick up hardly anything. Use the carpet setting on hardwood and you will be fine. Paying $50 more to get 10 mins of extra run time is stupid. Buy and extra battery for $63. The attachments and stick are D shapped. If you want more attachments, you are basically forced to buy from shark due to shape. There is less suction than a normal upright, but to be fair it is good enough.
