I have used this stick vac every day since receiving it and I really, really like it. Very good value for the money. The functionality where you can break the stick in two to vacuum under furniture is so simple to use and a complete revelation. Where have you been all my life?! I use this feature all the time and absolutely love it. I also like the exceptional maneuverability of the vacuum head and the very bright LED headlights, features I didnt even know I wanted but also love. It will literally move around in a circle from a static position. You can use the break in half feature to store it upright but bent over itself so its not necessary to lean it up against a wall. It does not come with a dock or any kind of storage mounting system. Another of the really nice things is that the top part breaks off to become a hand vac but, not only that, all the accessory tools can plug into the hand vac, including the power head, which is a premium feature I was looking for. This is very handy for vacuuming the couch or a bed and seems to be a unique feature as I didnt find it elsewhere. On the down side, I would say that the unit is a bit top heavy, which gives me the feeling that it could give you tennis elbow pretty fast if you had a second battery to extend the time you can use it. I am happy with the battery life. On the fastest non-turbo speed it cleans a combo of hard and carpet surfaces for around 20 minutes. This unit is not for deep cleaning but has enough suction to pick up Cheerios and dog kibbles as well as all the dust bunnies and pet hair on your solid surface floors. It gets my long hairs up off of the carpet, as well. It is IDEAL for day to day cleaning that keeps your house looking nice and makes big cleaning days far less work. Bravo, Shark!

I did a ton of research before replacing my dyson stick vacuum which I started having battery issues with. I was drawn to this vacuum because of the rave reviews of the suction power (everyone is right about that) and the removable and easily replaceable batteries. The batteries last a long time and I have two so I don’t have to worry about running out of charge before I finish vacuuming everything. I use this as my sole vacuum for my 1400 sq/ft house and it’s perfect. We have mostly LVP with some area rugs and tile. I didn’t expect to like the attachments so much. The one for dusting is my favorite. I never knew I needed it or wanted it. The only thing I don’t like is how the wand bends, I don’t really use the feature, but the problem I have is that it makes the stick part feel less sturdy. I’d prefer just a regular stick without the bend in the middle.

I bought this after a lot of research and consideration of other brands. I couldnt justify 800 bucks for a Dyson, but I also know that a vacuum that costs 150 bucks doesnt last. I needed something that is versatile and can quickly switch from laminate to carpet without a lot of fuss. I wanted something cordless so I could go through the whole house quickly without having to switch outlets or worry about keeping the cord out of the way of my path. The ability to clean up hair was an absolute imperative as I have a Husky and a Corgi that are constantly shedding. Cleaning the hair off of every surface has become a nightmare chore that is impossible to stay on top of. Now, let me tell you, that my house is in no way filthy, but after using this vacuum on my rug, that was just vacuumed with my old vacuum cleaner a couple of days ago, it sure felt like I was living in squalor before. This stick vac pulled hair and dirt from the carpet that I thought was clean! I was ASTOUNDED by how much dirt and hair that was still there. This product easily converts to make vacuuming stairs and those hard to reach areas a simple task. The included attachments are very good at getting the hair and dust from the couch cushions and it is very compact and takes up very little storage space. I have read other reviews that it builds up a rather unpleasant static shock after a few minutes of use. I have not experienced any sort of shock or static build up. The only reason that I didnt give this product 5 stars is because there isnt any storage for the attachments, and with 2 kids, I know that they are going to get lost easily. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants the convenience of a powerful cordless vacuum, without the high cost of a Dyson.

I like how light it is and how it Maneuvers. Since I have animals I like to use the high suction which makes the battery go dead very quickly. One of the batteries we have will only charge to 80%. I have hardwood floors kitchen living room and hallway, area rug in living room. Usually I can Vacuum my kitchen living room and hallway with one charge, but I can’t use it on the highest suction setting.

We already have the Shark Rocket Duoclean corded vacuum, great vacuum overall. But we got a new puppy that sheds a lot, so I wanted to ditch the cord first and foremost. And also heard the tangle free brush is really a thing, so wanted that. Since Im the chief home vacuumer here lol, its on me to report that in both those regards, Im pretty happy. That brush really does not tangle, its amazing. Even though the Rocket made it easy to access the brush to clean off the tangled hair and stuff, not having to do it at all is real game changer! As for the battery part, Ill say the claim that it holds a full hour charge is a bit misleading. Perhaps if you only vacuum at the bare floor setting and be sure to turn it off at every opportunity, you could squeeze an hour out of it. But charge length is adequate for me, I could hit the main floor, all the rugs, the stairs, basement...and run out of juice right at the very end there. But also, full disclosure, I vacuum everything at the carpet setting, I think it does a better job cleaning bare floors that way. The other feature that is awesome on this vacuum is the folding arm, wow that thing is handy! I got no problem bending over to vacuum under the bed, etc...but not having to is great. Another benefit is that its way more maneuverable with it, for instance you could get into tight corners off to the side which you cant do with a normal stick vacuum. I find myself using this folding arm feature a lot. However, there are a couple features which the Shark Rocket had, which I find I miss on this Vertex. My main complaint in that regard is that theres no foot button to disconnect the stick from the brush head, you got to bend down and do it by hand. I frequently pop the brush off to get dust bunnies in corners where the brush wont fit, or reach a spider web up in a ceiling corner or something like that. With the Rocket it was so easy to pop the stick out, do the deed, pop it back in and keep vacuuming. But with the Vertex its a pain because it also doesnt smoothly release, so you have to reach down, push the button, wiggle the stick loose, it just kinda sux when doing it frequently. Along those lines, my other complaint is that the only light is on the brush head. On the Shark, the vacuum head itself had a light as well, so when you used the stick w/o the brush head to chase dust bunnies in dark corners, you could see what youre doing. With the Vertex, youre running blind in that regard. So those two things have me dropping a star off this review. But, personally I say those are worthy compromises, and the benefits of the Vertex over the corded Rocket far outweigh the cons. I have to say though, I have a final complaint about the seller. Although the seller is listed as The Shark Store on the listing, at checkout it becomes some reseller (which I didnt notice at the time). In my case, it was Martinos Market. The box arrived looking like it was resealed, and the dust brush attachment was not included (nor is it listed on the box as an included item). Contacting Martinos Market got me no response from them, and Amazons answer is ship it back for a refund or exchange (for exactly the same vacuum w/o a dust brush attachment). Ive used the vacuum already so Ill just keep it as is, but its a bit bogus to advertise included attachments which are not included, and slipping in a reseller is weird as well. So star off for that as well.

Purchased and received today. Was excited to use it and was impressed with the pick up and attachments. Picked up a lot of pet hair and dust. Charging took about an hour.

I find a couple of things about this vacuum to be a problem for me. One, its too top heavy, so I find my arm gets tired, and I have to switch arms. The other thing is that the vacuum head is too small, so it takes a long time to get my floors done. Other than that, I think the vacuum is engineered well. I like that it folds in half to go under furniture, and the rollers that dont get hair tangled up in them, making it very easy to work with.

After you get used to pushing the correct buttons (one to release the handle, one to release the filter basket, and others), the added features are great! Maybe label the buttons? The headlamp is bright. Having an extra battery is convenient, the adjustable arm for sweeping beneath furniture saves my back. I would prefer more power on the hard floor setting level 3 (like you get when the carpet setting 3). The adjustable vac settings allow me to vac floor rugs without sucking them up into the vac. The rollers could be a little easier to remove, but the instructions helped a lot. I replaced my Electrolux stick vac and I’m happy with all of the extra features as soon as I’m more proficient pressing the correct button.
