Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Premium Noise Canceling Overhead Headphones with Mic for Phone-Call and Alexa Voice Control, Black WH1000XM4

These are excellent noise cancelling headphones. They dont sound as good as a similarly price set of wired headphones without ANC, but for what they are they are really good. They are also very comfortable, and the controls work well. The Sony app is helpful for getting control over your headphone. Sound is pretty balances; sometimes I find Sony headphones to have bass that overwhelms. Ive tried a lot of noise cancelling headphones, and these are as good as they come.

I was very hesitant on dropping a large sum on money on something like headphones but i’m very happy i’ve done so. Initially i wasn’t impressed when i first put them on & had a listen, until, i started playing around with the equalizer in the Sony ‘Headphones’ app. SOUND WAS ADJUSTABLE & AMAZING!! The noise cancellation also blew me away; i think i’m being very dainty around the house & as soon as the headphones come off, i realize i’m stomping around like a gorilla. 10/10 recommend.

When I put these on, the active noise cancelation blew me away. I literally couldnt hear a thing. The transparency mode works well and sound quality is great

This is great for students like me that wants to go wireless, but dont want to use in ears. I think its a good investment and it is proven now by recent years that the sonys have been dominating this mid to high end tier. Recommend for sure, especially when the price drops.

Finally a Bluetooth noise cancelling headphone that does it all! Buy it!

If you buy this, I just want to warn you that Sony customer service will NOT do anything about a known design flaw with a swivel on the right earpad. If you don’t believe me, look it up. I joined a group of people lobbying for Sony to fix this issue.

So what can I say that hasnt already been said by everyone of repute. Its the active noise canceling, over-ear headset that MKBHD and dozens of tech Youtubers swear by as probably the best (or top 3) in its price range. In my personal use, the battery life is incredible (havent drained it dry, but its supposedly around 30 hours). The sound quality is great, although Im not an audiophile so its just my opinion. The noise canceling is also really good. I have the Sony noise canceling Earbuds and its better than those (of course they have some passive noise canceling from being over-ear).

Spectacular. Highest tech. Awesome apps. Can’t beat it.
