After buying a couple Alexa Ech Dots, I wanted to get some smart plugs for some not so smart items in my home. After looking at a ton of different ones (and the ridiculous prices in some cases) I came across the Treatlife smart plugs. I read a ton of the reviews for them, so decided this was the way to go, plus the price was much better than most of the competitors. Setup was easier than I expected. Many of the reviews here suggested downloading the Smart Life app (picture of the app in the Google Play store included), and as soon as I plugged in the first plug, the app recognized it almost immediately, and I was set up! I had already enabled the Smart Life skill, so it was already visible within the Alexa app! All of the plugs were this easy to set up! These were the only reliable smart plugs I saw that could handle 15A (instead of the standard 10A) so Im confident that if I need to use these with an appliance with higher current, these will handle it. Ive already thought of so many different uses for these, and will without a doubt be ordering more in the future, as well as other Treatlife products!

these plugs look clean and very esthetic, it took me 30 seconds to connect them to my home automation app and Alexa (i have done this before with Treatlife wall switches). my automation app doesnt care what brand the plugs or switches are but I do like Treatlife...they havent disappointed me yet and Ive been using this brand for a while now. cant beat their price! I love the fact they are 15 amps so I can plug just about anything to them, in this case I have my candle wormers plugged in so I can have nice aroma around the house and let me tell you, I dont even have to get my phone to turn them ON or even ask Alexa to do it for me...I simply set up timer on these plugs so they turn ON by them selfs every day and turn OFF at the end of the day! How cool is that!!! I think Ill be getting more of these plugs to plug everything in the house :)

Right off the bat, I have to mention that 1 of the 4 in the pack was dead on arrival. I didnt feel like having to send all 4 back after setting them up, so I guess Im just gonna eat the cost of that one. These may look identical to the smart plugs sold by Amazon for use with Alexa, but theyre not as quick and easy to set up if you do intend on using them with Alexa. With the Amazon ones, Alexa immediately spots them and adds them. For these, you have to create an account with TreatLife (didnt know that going in, but I guess I should have expected it), plus download their app., which I really wish I didnt have to do. Then you have to connect that to your Amazon account. Its not that difficult, but still extra steps that I wish werent required. I had a lot of issues trying to get setup to work at first, but as it turns out, I was just unlucky to try setting up the defective plug first. It was only after setting up the other 3, which went much smoother, that I realized that the first was bad. Overall, despite the defective item and the extra setup, I still give them 4 stars. For the price of just one Amazon plug, you get 4 here, so the fact that theres extra setup doesnt bug me. Also, the quality seemed generally good, and I think the defective one was just a freak accident.

I had several 3 yr old smart plugs from another manufacturer and one of them finally bit the dust - I tried to reset it and it totally refused to find the WiFi. I was concerned it might be an issue with my newish router, although all of my other smart devices didnt have an issue. So I set off to find a replacement with a few specific features - it needed to be heavy duty enough to run my coffee maker, it needed a built-in schedule function, and of course a good price. Voila, I found these Treatlife plugs with these features and a great price! It was so easy and fast to set up, especially compared to days of fighting with my old plug - practically instantaneous. My router was vindicated. The schedule feature works well and turns my coffee maker at on and off at different times, depending on day of the week. It works well with Alexa. Ive only set up one so far, so hopefully the rest go as smoothly. I also had occasion to contact Treatlife, and got a super fast response, which was impressive. Based on my limited experience, I would have no qualms about buying again or giving some as gifts.

I originally purchased the Amazons Smart Plug through a promotion, and later purchased the Treatlife Smart Plug 4 Pack to replace all my old manual timers for our indoor and outdoor Christmas lights. So glad I did!! The Amazon Smart plug works great, easy to set up, but way too expensive. I had some issues setting up the Treatlife smart plugs; however, after I got them online, it was easy to configure my routines or schedules in the Treatlife app. I like the Treatlife app better than the Amazons Alexa app; BUT, in order to use Alexa youre stuck with Amazon. Beyond the initial setup, the Treatlife Smart Plugs are convenient, a great value, a little smaller than Amazon plugs, and they work great with Alexa. Again, the setup could be easier. Ive had some incidents where plugs (lights) turn on beyond routines. (Hey, why is the downstairs light on in the middle of the night!) Also, plugs wont fit inside outside bubble outlet box (I guess its not intended for exterior use). Overall, I highly recommend.

I bought these plugs to run high wattage items. These plugs work extremely well, but I do not recommend them because it is very confusing to set up. The instructions are printed to that you need a magnifying glass to read them. Using our phone to set it to the internet took several attempts. Once you get it set up with Alexa, it works quite well. This is a good product, but setup is a nightmare. Of all our electrical devices we have, this was the most difficult to set up. This would be a lot easier if you could use the computer to set it up.

So functionally,. These smart plugs do everything advertised. They have the 15 amp relay , they have timers, they can be in groups, they have an app, and they can connect to google and alexa. But everything is cloud based. When you install the treatlife app, you gotta create a cloud account. No cloud account, noise having them. Once created, you gotta create a home, family, and then rooms. Pairing the device is simple, push the botton, and the app uses bluetooth to find the new device and then you tell it what your wifi password is via the app and it registers to the cloud. All the timer events are in the cloud. In fact, to turn it on, the app contacts the cloud and the device turns on/ in about 5 seconds after the button press. There doesnt seem to be an internal clock for the timer events. So if your internet is down, your timer features are gone. This is why I dont like the cloud only features. We have to assume that treatlife could be gone in a year rendering these smart outlets useless. These outlets look like many other OEM smart plugs. From experience I have also learned that these devices which need a cloud account are disposable in a year, when the cloud policies changes . And do you really want a server in china having control over your appliances. The alexa and google features basically use the local home controller to connect to their cloud to control local devices. Ill keep them, but I am still looking for locally controlled outlets with a timer. These arent them. But they do work, for now.

Quick and easy add to existing account. Switches work very well.

I have two great uses for this product. The first is to power my electric fireplace. I paired a plug and then put it under the fireplace, where the control unit connects to 120v power. Then I turn on the switch that typically turns the fireplace on to start the flames. Because the plug is paired to Alexa, I can. now just tell Alexa to, Turn on the Fireplace and it works. The second place was on one of the lamps in my bedroom. I get up typically around 6:20. And at this time of the year, it is dark out where I am. So the plug automatically turns on at 6:20 AM. This paired with my soft-awake alarm always does the trick. Setting up the plugs was incredibly easy. And because I have already paired the app for other devices, Alexa knew about it as soon as the functions were working.

I have a light switch connected to an inconvenient outlet, so I plugged one in there, and a second to a lamp elsewhere, and programmed a rule that when the light switch one turns on the other turns on the lamp and it works perfectly ❤️
